Why cant i shake this. I tapered off aldactone, i even took a half a lasix one day to piss out some water. Im up 46lbs in 7 days and i cant stop it. Im always sweating, i cant leave my bedroom cause the AC keeps me cool and from sweating, although no matter how ocld my room is i wake up in sweat. I drink TONS of fluids its GOT to be 2gal/day. Walking, bending down, anything with lots of movement sux. Breathing sux. My stomach is bloated as hell. How long before shit shit goes away? i still have agood amount of diazide, lasix, demodex, or aldactone. Sum1 work sum magic here.

u forgot to mention u have been eating 10,000 calories a day

lol true but i doubt that substantially contributes to a weight gain like that

i did a a show last week as well. im certainly not up 40 something lbs. you want the majic solution? stop being a pig with your eating. wham! presto!

problem solved

It's all those carbs your eating...be careful, even tapering off those diuretics can cause a little rebound and that much weight gain puts a lot of added workload on your heart.

What else would you think it would be then bro. I saw what you were putting back and I am suprised you only put on 46lbs, lol. Clean the diet up, hell after my last show I kept doing cardio and ate clean and atill put on 25lbs in the following week, but I fought it off though.

Ballplayer and I were just talking about this. I didnt binge at all really. Ive had ice cream twice and a brownie and other than that just adding the seasoning back in to my food made me jump from 197 to about 215. That is very uncomfortable for me I cant imagine what 46lbs does....damn. Today is the first day Ive felt better and I can actualy see my cuts again. Id just go back to complex carb sources if you can do that. All that refined white flour and sugar is what is most likely causing the problems. Also shit like McDonalds of course with all the shit in that food will make you bloat up like a pregnant lady.

I think im gonna just eat a shitload of fiber tomorrow early, then not eat anything for the rest of the day and see what that does. Maybe a laxative to clear out my system the next day. I gotta get this damn rebound off, its a pain in the ass (and everywhere else)

Be very care TP4U! i was hospitalized after my first show with pericarditis from gaining so much, i think it was about the same as u, then 65 total after 2 weeks. weight leveled out at a total of 70 lbs and about 6 weeks or so later, still bloated as hell, overexerted myself on leg day and thought i was having a heart attack. Pericarditis is where u get fluid swelling in the sack around the heart. Get ur shit under control now and start back doing some cardio. i know it sux, but low carbs for a few days ( i know u just said 'yeah f-ing right!') and watch sodium intake. please be careful and learn from my mistakes.

Actually my math was off, its 36lbs not 46 lol. Still a lot though. Im down a few lbs this morning which is good, hopefully itl keep going down. Im gonna lay off the junk today and see what happens.

Its going to takes about 8-10 days for your body to level back out and come back to normal from the dehydration and depletion...You have to control your eating..amount and type of food. I just got done competing as you know and ate for a day or two, not out of control, but ate what I wanted and then went right back to clean food at least 4 or 5 meals a day with 1.5-2 gals of water...no bloat, competed one month ago at 210, now sitting at about 235, with no bloat, stomach feels great, no ring around the ankles from socks, etc. It should go soon, but you have to help it out!!!

normal reaction...

u are now in whats called the sponge stage, water, sugar, sodium. U r retaining that because of the stress u have put ur body through the last how many months and the water manipulation u did b4 the show. If u dont want the bloat u should have kept running ur diuretics and lower the amount of junk ur eating til ur body adjusts properly. the problem is not the junk as much as the retention, keep urself peeing.
gooey

I tried to suggest to you about getting right back in the saddle - after a couple of cheats. You were dead set on "enjoying" food (like mcD's) and now you pay the price. After a contest your body is in anabolic rebound - why not take advantage of this? I went off drugs cold trukey after my last contest (still did PCT) and was able to make tremendous gains in LBM.

"WHAM!" "PRESTO!" LOL.

TP4U,

All of the comments above have merit. On top of the high (refined) sugar, large amount of sodium (simply from the increased caloric intake, even if its not especially sodium laden), you'll gain tons of water.

I'll add this in, too. Some of this *possibly* - just something to think about - could be from the residual effect of the diuretic drugs you used for the show.

Also, if you're "off" you cortisol levels could be rising (or T:C ratio declining) and estrogen levels rising, which will both cause bloat.

As said:
-Lower carbs
-Minimize sodium (possibly add potassium)
-Drink fluids (as yuo have been doing)
-Do some cardio

I would NOT resort to more drugs - this is part of the problem, IMHO.

Take care of yourself, man.

i just went through the same thing. ptest is right on. my show was last weekend and im up 15pounds, but im just starting to fit that weight back into my frame. its so hard not to binge eat,.....im such a gluten! but going from 2000 cals and no carbs, to 8000 cals and a ton of carbs will def make you feel awful. try some cardio and some clean food, and you will feel better in a week or so.

Great advice by Randy as usual.
Personally I never went crazy after a show never seemed to be a point, in blowing back up 30 lbs and the misery that accompanied it.
Salt and carbs hold a ton of water in the body.
Good luck.

Hey bro definately clean up your diet. I remember Trop telling Dieselgirl that eating all that food right after a show can put you in serious jeopardy of having a cardiac arrest. That swelling around the heart can give you a heart attack and then it could be lights out. I know you've dieted a long time and miss eating but have one cheat meal a day if you have to (meal, just a meal, don't horde a ton of McDonald's lol). My show was a month ago and I competed at 205lbs and I'm sitting at 221lbs. Be careful and get it together.
