WAXY: a total waste?

Waxy maize = It works.

I buy mine direct from the factory in 20kg drums unflavoured. So I pick it up pretty cheap. I think its the best carb for filling you back out PWO. I have experienced faster recovery between workouts and generally feel allot fuller.

It works... but so does any carbohydrate that doesn't cause gas, bloating, or abdominal discomfort. Most people feel or say that it works better than anything else is because when they use glucose or maltodextrin, they get really bad gas and bloating. it would be stupid not to think it would affect you in a negative way. any carbohydrate would do if you don't have any allergic reaction to it. hell, the best carb that fills me out and causes no bloating, distention, gas... etc for me is cranberry juice! and that goes against every damn research and crap about glycogen replenishment that i've read.
 
I like WMS. I used to just use straight dextrose and after 60g of that I felt so full and bloated it was aweful. I could barely stomach my meal 1.5hrs later. WMS is still the quickest absorbed carb so its nice if your gonna use slin.

The whole thing with waxy is the weight of the carb. It draws water with it into the cells faster. At least thats what the studies show.

All I know is this...

If eating corn dogs made me feel like a million bucks post training, then I am a post training, corn dog eating fool. If something works for you then stick with it. I love the way I feel using Vitargo or generic waxy so I'm going to keep doing my thing.

Try to replas all those post training carbo powders with raw cane sugar, why? here is why: raw cane sugar is made by crushing the freshly cut 100 % organic sugar cane to squeeze out the molesses rich juce, containing the all natural vitamins, minerals and and enzymes. The juce is than is simple heated, concentrated as the moisture is evaporated and then crystallized to lock-in, rather that refine out. There is no coloring, no blending or any chemical refining involved in the process. And is easy to digest.
