Weird Problem

For the past 3 years now I've noticed something weird in my lower abdomen, just under my belly button but to the left of it. Everytime I do abs, in certain exercises I get this weird lockup/cramping, I need to stop and massage the area, other abs exercises I'm fine but if I happen to bend over to do something after doing the exercises I lockup\cramp again, it's scary weird, not sure what it could be. I don't get it on anything else but when I do abs.... what could be causing this?
 
Try stretching that area, if it dosen't help see post above.
 
perhaps you have a slight tear in your abdominal wall... a hernia
 
i have the same thing but on my right side. i went to the doctor about 3 months ago just brcause i thought it was alittle wierd. the doc told me to lay off abs for 2 weeks, and if it still did it to call him back. wel it did, so i called. i went back in to the doc, and at the end of the visit(to make a long story short) he said its just alittle cramp, he gets them in his hams when he runs long distance and its really nothing to worry about its just annyoing. what did help for me was gatorade and a banana pre workout. give it a shot.
 
hey tkav, it's exactly was I was thinking, and I always told myself to try a banana pre workout but I never did haha, I don't work the abs that much anyways but when I start doing them more often I'll try the banana. thanks.
 
I have none of those symptoms tho, it's not a pain, it's more like a cramp, I think it's scarier because your ust to getting them in your toes not your freaking abdomen haha. Like I said, it's only when I do ab exercises. I do tons of bent over rows and I have never had that problem, knock on wood as of yet. But a good read and I pray that I really don't have that.

mention this to your doctor on next check up.
