What’s in YOUR intra workout shake?

I prefer only something that helps with hydration. There are those little Electrolyte packets on Amazon, just throw em in water and drink it.

per packet:

5 gr Carbs
150 mg Kalium
410 mg Chlorid
60 mg Magnesium
1 gr Salt

I add 2-3 gr of Taurin when I'm on a blast, especially orals.

I drink 2-4 of those per workout, with additional cold water in a different bottle. Really just helping with hydration, without my stomach killing me.

My "Intra fuel" comes from my meals before I workout 😁
 
Eaas, salt, creatine, 40-60g maltodextrin, (depending on if it is normal training diet or high carbs day, caffeine, l carnitine, taurine
 
Good idea mixing HBCD and dextrose, I’m going to do that! That’s a lot of ingredients, do you dilute it a lot so it’s not too thick?
I use about 1.25 liters of water.
On high carb days, when I go 100g total carbs in intra, I go 1.75 - 2.0 liters.
 
Whenever I have attempted to mix a intra or peri peri or whatever it's called I just end up drinking it all at the end of the workout. I have no desire to drink anything but water while I'm training..
I see these big ass drinks on youtube. How do you stomach that while training legs ?
 
15g EAA , 60g Gatorade , 10g creatine , 10g Glutamine , 10g Citrulline malate , 30ml vegetable glycerin
 
Water and whatever BCAA's I can find on sale. Currently it's Ghost BCAA's.
 
For the guys that drink carbs during. Do you actually feel a difference with your performance of the workout?
 
Most of the year:
  • 28oz Gatorade / Powerade Zero
  • 38oz water
  • 10g creatine
  • 24-48g PeptoPro
  • 50-100g Karbolyn
  • Something for flavoring like zero sugar Kool Aid or Starburst powder - PeptoPro needs something strong to mask its taste

I will attempt drinking one again then. Atleast for my longer workouts
 
Do an experiment for me. Make yourself vomit after your done working out. Look at what comes out. Your "intra" shake was still sitting in your stomach, I bet. Even if you drink it on the way to the gym, before you get there, it's still gonna be sitting in your gut by the time your done. If you want a true "intra" influx, you've gotta time it before your workout. Doing some simple glucose or gatorade during your workout makes sense, too. But

Right now I'm wanting to eat my carbs so its
15g EEA
10g BCAA (used for flavoring)
10g creatine
10g glutamine
5g taurine
20g (I think) of beet root powder

My wife makes up 4 of these (just powders in shaker cups) for my workouts for the week, I add water and ice then head to gym.

If having more carbs in my diet then I will add 50g of carbs from karbolyn to those shaker cups.

No stone uncovered! That looks great bro! How long have you been including all of this in your intra? That's the most Beta alanine that I've seen anyone using. I like it also and may try to increase the amount to see how it goes.

Genuine question here; why is e-Lyte so highly regarded? Based off the nutrition data it’s pretty subpar in electrolytes… is there something I’m missing here?

I'd say it's been 6-7 years. I forgot to list Taurine in there. That's 4 grams.

The E-Lyte I added when I was working with AJ a few year back then re-added it when I started with him again last month.
