Been doing DC and LOVING IT!! I have trained HIT, volume etc and have never experienced the gains that I have on DC training... It is absolutely awesome... The training and stretches are brutal, but they work!! I am now handling weights that I never thought possible... Dante has got it right... It's all about pushing your limits by increasing the load each workout... I just wish that I could've been doing this style of training all along...
 
5'9", 192 lbs, @20% bf (natural).

I can't yet rep 225 on military press, 495 on DL or 405 on squat. Therefore, it's a mix of raw powerlifting and strongman to put the strength and size on. I just need to start eating more than 100g of protein a day and I'll be set.:eek:

Tough Old Man training for me. Train if I can get out of bed and my shoulders, knees, neck or lower back not hurting like hell... :)
 
I was doing Big A's routine but now do yates style HIT. I love them both but i prefer training 4 times a week and spreading it out more as opposed to 3 days.
 
I do the GTL program, you guys heard of it? :D
 
Well, since this old thread has come back to life. I used to do High Intensity Training (H.I.T.) but now I do Super High Intensity Training which is better known as S.H.I.T. training. j/k

I don't really stick to any one program, rather I incorperate elements from each of them at various time into my own program which currently resembles Dorian Yates early training template.
 
I am only familiar with a couple of these styles. Maybe if I saw the names spelled out I would recognize them.

I have tried many different styles in my life.

What works for me is 4 workouts per week sometimes 3

1 bodypart per day

Very fast, no waiting around for recovery 100%

4-8 rep range

4 sets per excercise

4 or 5 exercises. All basic movements. No tricks.

Done in 45 minutes tops


I am small and I have tried programs like DC. But I cannot add size using other programs.

Its boring, but I feel very focused on building one bodypart at a time while other bodyparts have a long rest.
 
I'm just curious since most of the Members here are extremely advanced and have already tried various programs. I thought it would cool to see what we are all using?

I use a wide variety of training methods myself depending on goals or other areas of my like. I like my own spin of HIT/DC style training.
 
I used Mentzer on and off for years and my strength goes up
fast .... Size too but most from increased glycogen stores
I am sure.

I don't put on actual muscle unless I go very heavy
like more of a power lifting routine

I really like using power factor cause I can get the
heavy weight, the burn for increased pump ..
It's like getting the increased glycogen stores
and the increased tissue size all in one.

I always go back to full range so I can check my strength
and get a good stretch on all my muscles

I really like the smith machine because it allows me
to get the weight I need for heavy partials without
risking injury.

I always train alone
