apparently, the expert has never heard of a steroid that is referred to as "boli". Can anyone clarify what 'boli' is? It is a commonly used term in the Dominican Republic. Or did he say that to sorta make up a word to get out of saying he was on certain compounds...

I think it depends on your personal network of contacts and/or whether or not you have the resources to procure AAS through mail order, black market, legit Rx, etc. However this is true for anyone, not exclusively pros.

BTW-A-Rod is so full of shit. Anyone with a decent knowledge of AAS knows that his story was totally lame. I also thought it was lame how his bullshit couldn't be exposed by reporters because they weren't allowed to ask follow up questions. However, I believe the general public truly wants to believe their hero just made a stupid mistake cuz he was young and dumb, so it should stick.

i just dont see why it matters... no amount of steroids would turn me or anyone else on here or in that press conference into an A-rod, barry bonds, or mark mcguire. steroids arent going to produce the fine motor skill and coordination it takes to be a great baseball player, and especially not when started in their mid to late 20's...

yes absolutely, but how many people were doing it back then pre 2003 when there were no rules or testing policies? im willing to bet if you were a major league starter, you were on some questionable shit or had used something in the past. how many guys in the 60's and 70's and 80's were using? i guarantee it is more than 1, you know what i mean? but we will never know, i think its crazy that people think this is a brand new aspect of sports, just because the public is ignorant to whats going down in the training room doesnt mean that it didnt happen...

i have a friend that was enhanced and his brother used to be a pro baseball player around 2000 i believe we sat down with his brother and asked him one day about juice in baseball. His response was he did winstrol 3-5 10 mg tabs day for 6-8 week cycles and almost 3/4 of the team did it aswell. He seemed like and honest guy hes early 30's now and has a good job making good money with a degree, i dont believe he would lie.

i'm glad to hear someone else say this...this is baseball not hockey, football, or powerlifting... when u make contact with the ball it is off ur bat, its not like u can catch it like a lacrosse ball and then chuck it in which any steroid induced strength would make a difference...and he tested positive for primo...not exactly the drug of choice for strength or athletic endeavours

exactly, everyone thinks that these players using steroids were/are gaining an unfair advantage, when the reality is that by using they were really probably leveling the playing field...

oh absolutely, they all just fan the flames of this fire and keep it going, honestly this is getting to mccarthy-esque proportions and its just ridiculous. they are basing a lot of this on the notion that steroid use in professional sports was the exception and a select few were doing this when it was really more likely the norm. like mikey said earlier about his buddies brother, 3/4 of the team was cycling and that is just one team! and im sorry but the average person in those conferences and hearings, even the average person on the street, knows jack shit about steroids and what they can and cant do, they think they know everything tho....
