what is it with the threads here lately?

anyone else notice the board to be 'dumbing down' a bit lately-

for example, the insurgence and overabundance of threads regarding gear and first time use?

'what kind of fat burner can i use with sust?'

'anyone ever use only test or dbol in a cycle?'

'review my cycle'

i dunno, like alot of guys who come here, i view this board as the elite board when it comes to competitive bodybuilding. it's the place you come to discuss things at a level outside the realm of what the average gym goer would know or care to know, and that what makes this board so great.

i know we all start somewhere but it pains me to have to wade thru thread after thread of the same questions asked by newbies for the past 2 decades on boards all over the internet.

this board is thee best board online for the competitor that i have found. the information shared and the brainstorming that goes on here is a valuable and insightful tool and to have such threads on such a great board almost takes away from that.

the more we keep the board like that- a gathering place for the hardcore and serious, the more we'll attract like minded people and just think of the knowledge that can be shared or gained by doing so. and in as much the same way, why would we want to be a magnet for the exact opposite. it will only detract from what has been a great community.

is there any way we can have some kind of filtering system to keep it that way? i dunno what to suggest, like a forum for beginners or something?

i dunno. we have such a good board here. i'm just afraid we'll lose it if this keeps up.

We Do Have a beginners forum and Normally try to send the beginner questions there. Sometimes its a fine line though and we Hate To Over Moderate

Your opinion counts though and is Noted. We have always had some good of topic stuff allowed by the vets and members... But I agree we want to keep the New guys out and the Elite from getting Aggravated by a bunch of Punks or stupid questions. ( By new guys I dont mean new to the forum... I mean new to steroid use and How everything works)

BFU you answered your own question. This is the best board online, that's why we get so many nubs asking nub stuff.
Imagine if the mods here weren't as topshelf as they are. Can u picture how many nubsauce posts about gear the forum would be full of? I'm betting alot more posts get whacked here than any of the other bb forums.
The mods here should require the female members to put up more pics and more often, but we can only ask so much of them.:s'ar-wars

I have no problem answering "newbie" questions. we all started out in the same mindset. Gotta learn somewhere..and they might not put them in the beginner forum because it doesnt get as much traffick as this one. And their questions are important to them, of course. :st:r-wars

I feel the exact same. Only time I'm compelled to post anymore is when I see some outrageous bullshit. Don't know what happened but things do feel different somehow.

i agree bro! I see how certain questions can be completely retarded, but for the most part everyone is so quick to say " do a search noob!", and make the guy feel like an unwanted asshole. If its a simple question, just help the guy out and answer it

Ya Im standing on a soapbox MT your right. But The board means something obviously more to me than to anyone else. I dont mind that. I feel I owe a little patriotism to a place that contains the only friends I have left. You can go outside and have a good time with your buddies. I however....can not. So I come here and give my blood and keep a little faith for different circumstances to come along. Grown men complaining like women is a slap on the boards face.

I think this board is great. I may be little new to this board, but I have been around on other boards for a long time.
There will always be newbies. I'm glad. This perpetuates the sport and it grows. Everyone was a newbie.
I also think this board has really interesting threads.
I agree with nosmas, if your not adding anything, then why complain.

Whats up Bro, I miss your post. Maybe they should make an OT forum or something who knows. It has been mentioned, but I guess only post in the threads that matter to you. I read two post on the milk thread and closed it and was like WTF.

i completely agree with bn on what he said this board is great but theres alot of newbies that are drawing tons of attn admitting them just got there gear and how do i use it type of shit. For the guys and girls that have been around awhile i enjoy reading what they have to say, or looking at pics in that section. I just have a bad feeling about LE targeting these newbs and making this board dissapear for all of us.
