Mods please delete thread if there is already one like this, I used the search and came up empty.


So Im 2 days out my 1st local NPC mens physique contest and and was just wondering what do you guys specifically NOT DO that you think would hinder your results on stage? I hear of many guys carbing up, water depleting this that and the third voodo stuff , but everything isnt for everyone imo..

Im just curious if theres anyone here who has fallen victim to all the wanna be gurus last minute.. (seems to me everyone has an input at this time).

My theory is just keeping it simple and just tapering down a bit on water just sipping or ice chips eventually, no crazy pizza,pancakes, or crazy carb load phases, maybe just keep the sodium maybe funions and organic honey to get my pump (maybe some V;) and a little red wine).

Other than that since its my first time ever doing anytning like this i want to have fun and network first and foremost. Id like to hear some experiences if any from guys who have been at this point and either spilled over or purposly did not follow the masses and wound up looking better on stage!

what NOT to do backstage.....???

I would say, DO NOT start pumping up too early....

and try NOT to pump your best body part...as this will
take all the blood from your weaker body parts....that you DO
want pumped....

Thanks for the speedy response!! You dont know me tenny but in the short time ive been here and read, you are definitely a value to the community! I enjoy/appreciate your insight!

Its things like this I want to hear/learn as I didnt even know, I would have been backstage pumping out every everything lol!..(no legs of course)

Tenny real quick not to bother you someone advised me not to flex abs either.. tru?

it really depends on how lean you are and your torso....longer torso
people can pay LESS attention to "flexing abs"...

but....I would say.....YES absolutely keep your abs tight the ENTIRE time.

especially in your poses that show obliques....and shoulder to waist ratio.
