What will counteract the cramps from creatine?

I've been hit'n about 10-15g creatine for the past couple weeks and I'm starting to cramp up pretty often. When I'll flex my tricep it locks up and I have to pull on my forearm before it lets loose. I've been drinking about 1.5gal of water lately too but still cramping. Is there anything in specific that can help the cramps? Potasium, magnesium, sodium? Sodium intake is about 3g's already.

I get the same thing when i take creatine. I just quit spending my money on it. I never got much out of it anyway. But I took in plenty of water and i never figured out why i cramped up.I also know about 3 other people who did the same thing but i know more people who have no problems cramping. Go figure.

Id take a magnesium/calcium suppliment; plus drink LOTS of water. It can hurt to try a gatorade on top of that (sodium-pottasium).

Yup when I use it I drink alot of gatorade especially if your sweating all day at work. I used to get some nasty calf cramps in the middle of the night. MM

How about including some Taurine, 8-12 grams - I got this advice from Animal.

most of all, you should up the water. the gatorade idea works great. poweraid is a great one two. but like said above, watch out not to take in to much potasium. to much will cause some problems. good luck bro.
