Lately I've been leaving the gym in a worse mood than when I get there. Not sure what the reason is - what about you guys?
 
I am always in a better mood after I am done. I work out any frustration and anger in the gym.
 
I almost always leave pumped and in a much better mood. Sounds like its time to change up your routine for sure.
 
Almost always in a better mood and usually very calm. My thoughts are not racing.
 
i feel...

completely wasted but overall very good. A feeling of accomplishment. Knowing I did something good for my body, and being able to feel it the next day is awesome too. I do feel a little "out of it" sometimes and my eyes get a little red coz of all the blood vessels that burst when i lift heavy. :D (anbody eles get that...?) but other than that, i feel good.
 
i feel physically drained, but mood wise i'm all good. i take out whatever irritation, frustration, etc on the weights.
 
workingout releases endorphins which make you feel good. Leaving the gym you should feel good but tired.
 
I typically leave the gym physically tired but in a very good, focused mindset. This is why I tend to go there a little more than I should sometimes.
 
I'm ALWAYS in a better mood after a workout... best anti-depressant by far. :)
 
In a better mood unless I had a crappy workout or unless I was bothered by the weirdos that go to My club
 
Haha I'm the only one to put worse.. I'm on a new routine.. prob just not used to it yet but I've just been getting really frustrated = worse mood.

I was wondering if this was just different for me, but normal for others. Seems that's not the case!
 
Always turn up in a good mood cos I look forward to it and always leave in a better mood :)
 
UGathlete, how long is your workout? I was working out too long in the past...sometimes 90 minutes of lifting with lots of different exercises...and I was feeling like shit afterwards.

Now I choose 3 lifts (for instance in a few minutes I am going to go do SQUATS, DIPS, FLOOR PRESS) and beat the fuck out of myself with 1 work set for each lift with ample warm up sets progressively working to my work set. My workout takes 45 minutes about now.

I also take in a LOT of carbohydrates before, during, and after. Within a one hour window of my 45 minute workout I will consume 100 grams of carbohydrates (a lot for me considering my height/weight).

Doing both of these consistently now I leave the gym feeling better moodwise and physically.
 
Always leave in a better mood. In fact when my wife thinks that I am an ass she will tell me to not come back in the room until I have gone to the gym:p
 
I leave hungry, sleepy and with a sense of accomplishment.
 
when i leave them gym...

all is right with the world. :)
its the next best thing to sex. -JS
