Favorite gyms you've trained at, and what's on your bucket list?

Atlantic Gym, Baliuag, Bulacan, Philippines - Great gym with all the basic, old school equipment you need. No air conditioning and dig this - no fans either! This place made Metroflex in Texas in summertime seem cool inside haha. Within 30 mins your clothes were entirely soaked - underwear, socks, all. I always took a quart of Gatorade with me to keep from passing out. I remember on several occasions I was the only one in there - heat index regularly 130F+ during the hottest season. Filipina working the desk would say "loko Kano" (crazy American) haha. :p

Wolfgangs Gym, Richmond, VA - It was a sad day when they closed down several years back. Hard core gym back in the day with tons of equipment. Curtis Bryant (IFBB pro, competed back when it was 202 div) worked out there. Cool AF guy - I remember seeing him reverse grip bench press 405 x 12 when hitting tri's. Guy was strong af for his size (5'7, 230ish). A lot of pro wrestlers would stop in there when in town. I remember seeing Warlord once - biggest mofo I ever seen IRL.

I’m just a little bit biased, but I think that my home gym is one of the best that I’ve ever encountered.
Crush It Coliseum it’s absolutely incredible! There are two locations, one in Statesville, North Carolina and the other Mooresville, North Carolina.
Doug Miller has done an incredible job putting together a couple of the most extensive collections of equipment that I’ve ever seen. If you were ever in the Charlotte area, you absolutely have to check out one of the locations!
Doug has done a great job there. Fantastic natural bodybuilder, great friend, even better man.

I’ll also mention Nellis AFB (las vegas, NV)

I also liked Travis AFB (Fairfield, CA) outdoor gym… staff and personnel didn’t care if you were shirtless or not.

Syndicate MMA (las vegas, NV)
Grinder Gym (San Diego, CA)
Iron Mongers Gym (Vista, CA)
Metroflex Gym (Murrieta, CA)

Victory MMA & Fitness
(Point Loma, San Diego, original location… rebuilding due to a recent fire)

Bucket list

Elitefts Gym (London, Ohio )

Ironberg Gym
(Brazil locations… I intend on returning to Brazil every year moving forward, purchasing properties in Brazil)

Non Bodybuilding Gyms

Exos - Scottsdale
Apec - Fort Worth
Dallas Cowboys Training Facility
NE Patriots Training Facility
Virginia High Performance - Virginia Beach

These have been by far my absolute training locations at the moment.

Gym I would love to hit but can't get the scheduling to work - GymShark Facility in the UK

I would just like to go to Hafthors gym in Iceland, and maybe Magnus Ver Magnussons.
Starting to plan a trip there. Those gyms, Jon Pall's grave, and some of the other strength & stone historical places, we're gonna visit.
Zero interest in modern BB gyms. (Posers, broccoli heads, filmers, etc). Plus I like barbells and dumbbells. I dont really like most machines..

I was fortunate enough as a teen to train in Temple Gym a few times and actually worked in with Dorian on leg extensions (obviously way post retirement).
The atmosphere and history in there was truly something special it’s a shame it just got closed down and the equipment sold off

Bucket list:
The OG Metroflex
Then there’s so many amazing gyms across the world especially in America but
If it could only be one it would be there

I’ve had the privilege of training at some really nice gyms but the old Golds Gym in Las Vegas that was on Flamingo & Sandhill was hard to beat, you just had to be there to understand.

It’s a shame the golds franchise really kind of went downhill. Not a lot of golds around anymore….

Favorites in NJ-

Would like to check out Diamond gym soon

I recently went to Absolute Recomp in Las Calinas, TX. I loved it. A nice change of pace from the eos i go to in AZ.

I used to love Golds, I trained at two different ones in my area and any town I visited. They are all gone here now. Another one I liked was Called Leos black iron gym. There is nothing hardcore close anymore everything is just a fitness gym at best. I hate to live in the past, but the gyms are nothing like they were in the mid 80s when I first got started.

Pure Muscle in Canada! Was absolutely amazing. Had loads of the newtech equipment

Destination Dallas definitely one of the best vibes of a pure bodybuilding gym I've ever been in, didn't even need my earbuds crowded with machines but hands-down one of the best places I've ever trained.

Two of the new Absolute Recomps in DFW haven't tried the Lewisville one yet...

Metro flex Arlington and Plano Texas

Kings gym in Bedford OH, big powerlifting gym

one of the first places I ever trained at as a young kid was Blacks Health World Cleveland, Ohio

I found blacks through a place called Olympic health club owned by John Schubert (primarily an Olympic lifting gym) he had an arrangement with John Black that if we wanted to do bodybuilding movements we could go over there one or two days a week..

I’ve trained at Quads Gym in Chicago—great old-school vibe, solid equipment, and definitely one of my favorites. Been meaning to hit Iron Religion in Orlando next. Between trips, I’ve been using this strength training guide that’s helped me stay on track, especially with compound lifts and periodization. It's been solid for keeping consistent progress even when I'm switching gyms.
I was there back in the 2000s I was on a time crunch I just got a chance to walk around get a few signatures say hi to a few people but didn't get to train you're right that place was an absolute dungeon great environment

I am interested to see what locations we get, and how many of us have crossed over the same.

All of these gyms are pretty badass, some I was just passing through and loved it, others are a place I trained primarily, and had a significant influence, and impact on me. Bucket list obviously just gyms I hope to get train at one day. I'm way more of an old school gym fan boy... classic gear like Cybex hack, Trusquats, some of the old Bodymaster's stuff and Stryde are so sick too.

Blacks Gym, been there. Huge and hardcore!!

I’ve trained at Metroflex Arlington. Amazing place. Wish I could have had a chance to stay longer. Factory gym in Louisville was great. World Gym in Cincinnati is solid.

Bucket list:
