Hey guys.

I was wondering. When you guys take time off from training whether it be a week or more do you change the way you eat aswell? Dropping the protein intake? Lowering the calories?

I'm asking cause I've got some knagging injuries and I thought a week off would do me some good but not sure if reducing the food intake is gonna be the smartest move. I mean food equals recovery and limiting it doesnt sound like its gonna help.

Keep your protein high. Protein aids in muscle recovery. You also want to keep your vitamin and minerals up for injury recovery too.

I keep protein high and keep the carbs clean and moderate.

Thanks guys. Wouldnt mind a little more input from some others too hint, hint ;)

i do just the opposite when i take a break.......i take a break meaning i eat like a normal person for the amount of time i'm off training, it provides a nice break not only mentally as its challenging day in and out to force down alot of food and shakes but i also feel it gives my digestive system and kidneys a needed break also
