Whey Isolate and Blood Glucose ?

Does anybody have any info on Whey Isolate effects on Blood Glucose ? Did a bit of searching on Google and couldnt find much.The reason i ask is that i am Diabetic and have just switched from a whey blend to Isolate ( Just for a change ) My Blood Glucose went up last night and i had no carbs,only the Isolate.Think ill take a shake now and check my BG in 2 hours time......

Im using Perfect Nutrition Zero Carb Isopure bottles.They do contain some Additives.What is your opinion on this product guys ? They are very convenient for me right now.

I too am diabetic. I use a whey isolate from Novatis Nutrition thats made for promoting wound healing in the elderly. I get no increase in blood glucose levels from it. I also combine it with olive oil and usually don't take it by itself. When I do take it by itself, my sugar level only goes up a couple of points.

Thanks for the input.Emeric,i am Type I,but thanks for the offer.I took my BG 2 hours after 40g of Isolate and it did raise it from 5.8 - 8.00

Maybe i will take 2iu of Insulin with my Isolate.I usually go by the rule of 1iu insulin per 10g carbs,or if my BG is high and i need to bring it down 1iu per mmol so 2iu should cover the increase....

When you say "A couple of points" what format do you test your BG ? I know that we in UK use a different format than guys in USA.We use mmol/DL and i think USA uses mg/DL.An increase in 2mmol is quite significant where as 2mg is virtually nothing.
