I think Tony has an awesome physique with great proportions and x-frame. I would like to see him be awarded higher placings as he deserves, even with pec tear. An obvious bicep tear didnt stop the judges from overlooking it and giving the O to Dorian.

I think he blows most of the other guys on stage away.

He just looks way better. Shoulders to waist taper, with great sweeping quads. The other guys look short and wide waisted compared to him. Just my opinion.

NO offense to the shorter guys here, but I always felt that taller guys who are proportionally filled out like Tony will always look better than a shorter guy.....basically because of how much more real estate a taller guy has.

Not necessarily onstage...but in person I agree. Anyone who's been at a few expos and met Dexter, Branch, etc. and then met Cedric can attest to how much more impressive a lot of muscle on a tall frame looks in person. At least that's they way I felt when I met them.

I worked out at a gym in the North Atlanta area where he trained every so often. He was a pleasant guy. Not overly talkative, but would talk to you. And l remember him training with high rep, high volume a lot.

He literally is blown away conditioning wise in every rear shot. Look at all the back shots, look at the lower back, glutes, hams, etc. The guys next to him are better conditioned in every pic. Sure he looks in tip top condition from the front, but from the back is a different story and I believe the judges mainly look at the glute to ham tie-in, lower back, etc, as major points when it comes to condition.

He is a great bodybuilder though and just looks massive and ripped. Great physique for sure. I bet if he gets just a tad more leaner and conditioned he would be a force to watch out for. He definitely does look better then Cedric in those shots posted.

Toney was my favourite bodybuilder for a long time. Perhaps it was due to him being my height and the fact he managed to build legs etc like he did being 6ft 2. He was so underrated and over looked and I am not quite sure why. Like most he has some flaws when looking at things like a BB judge has to. Regardless I don't think there were many who looked better when he was at his best. He should have been in the top 5 many times at major shows but was always overlooked. Just look at the guy... crazy impressive.

Some not so good trivia re Freeman.

Of the top five heavyweights in the 1995 NPC Nationals, only Tony Freeman has not suffered a critical illness yet.

Edgar Fletcher was rushed off stage and taken unconscious to the hospital.
Don Long had a kidney transplant.
Curtis Leffler died of a heat attack at the age of 36.
Tom Prince suffered kidney failure.
