It starts September 27 in China. One of the members will be competing. The events for the final are:

farmer's walk
fridge carry
squat
log lift
fingal fingers
pillars of hercules (hercules hold)
The atlas stones

Who is everyones pick to win?

I think so. He placed second or third in one of the super series events earlier this year. I think it was the one at Muscle Beach.

Yeah he has definitely gotten bigger this year. Im not positive but i think he's weighing in at around 320. He's gonna be facing some animals out there so he needs all the size and speed he can get.
I think look out for the same three in the final.

Thanks for the update. I know they do show it around December all well ans good but it should be shown live or at least have a few highlights on ESPN the day after! Maybe they do have it but I dont know about it. The various strong men competitions really should get much more pubilicity. I just happen to see it when its on tv , its not something well advertised. Not as if bodybuilding comps get any better publicity.

I totally agree, they should show highlights the day after. December is too long to wait. Strongman competitions are the most exciting events of all strength athletics. Well i think so anyway.
I wish ESPN would show more old competitions from the 80's when Bill Kazmaier and Jon Pall Sigmarsson were winning, and also when Magnus Ver was dominating in the 90's.

espn wont do that cuz they got to have poker on all freakin night long. i hate that shit!! POKER IS NOT A SPORT!! i love how espn dropped BB related events but will still show strongman who use as much if not more AAS as BBers. i wont even mention MLB and the NFL.

Pardon my language but what the fuc* they got curling and bowling in addition to poker. God, I remember on BBC1 they be bringing for hours on end dart competitions. I will much rather have a dart at my head than having to watch that! Curling, looks like a game janitors will play during their spare time with the wash buckets and mops!

Yeah that was nasty what happened to Franco Columbo. I think Franco was a little too small to be competing out there with the big guys.
The new fridge carry is a well balanced device. It weighs over 900lbs, but is evenly distributed. You can still get hurt on it of course, but its much better than the original. That original refrigerator carry was a disaster waiting to happen. It did!

Oh, are you talking about when Magnus Samuelsson broke Nathan Jones arm. Jones that guy is huge. He's 6'10. I think BIG KIWI knows him or used to lift with him.

Ill check that out. I think i saw him in "Troy" too. He's so big, you almost think that he is computer generated. Does he have a bad temper or something? Do you know what he is up to these days, because he was in wrestling and then he suddenly disappeared?
Its too bad he didnt stay with strongman, he would have been good for the sport.

Yep that was him in Troy to I don't know what happened with the wrestling and as far as i know with the strongman he gave up to look for movies etc which he seems to be doing these days. When walking next to him I take 2 steps to his one and he not skinny either hahah
