For any you that wacth the Worlds Strongest Man Competition, this years schedule has been announced. This years event will be held here in my home town, Charleston, West Virginia. The qualifying events are scheduled for September 6-9, 2008 and the final events will take place September 12-14, 2008 and should be aired sometime in December 2008. Phil Pfister a charleston, WV native and former WSM winner is scheduled to compete again as well as strong men from all over the world. The events will take place at various locations throughout the city. As a resident of Charleston this is a very exciting event for us and gives us a chance to shine on a world wide stage.

Yeah, if you pull up the WSM website it details the athletes, the group they're in and the events for the competition. Lucky for me all of the event locations are within 2 miles from my home.

the guys that do strongman are the reason i started training in the first place. to me the idea of having functional strength is much more impressive than posing on a stage
