Competition cycles from competitors

This is very interesting. I understand gradually lowering carbs as you taper into a show that's typical show prep. You seem carb sensitive and so was I. I would lower carbs but increase fats to compensate for energy. I found fats gave me energy but didn't store like carbs did. Eventually for my last show I cut out carbs completely months out using the keto diet and used MCT oil in my prep.
I did bring up fats at times, but saw my fat loss become sluggish. My body adds tissue ok, but doesn't like relinquishing it. MCT was the best of all added fats as its storage is more difficult, but it was added calories.
 
Got "trapped" at the bottom of a leg press with inadequate stoppers.
Yes, get that. It sucks. My gym had a great leg press machine with adjustable stops. Sure enough it was gone when I went back to the gym after Covid. The one they have now (the only one 🙁) and it does not have stops. Scares me when going for another rep.

Much of the equipment in that gym was privately made and not up to standard. Gym choices were limited at the time.
