I love it when people from different religious organizations try and cast out other christians with this "I'm more of a christian than you are" or "youre doing the whole christain thing wrong". I think thats just so wrong. Its funny how he mentions "cults" and picks and chooses parts of the video to make his points. I'd run for the hills if I ran into a pastor such as the one speaking in the video because that is the same stuff many of the leaders of cults do to try and convince fresh minds into believing their crap. As someone who believes in God, I would never "throw stones" at others and come down on them from trying to be a christian. Mark is a good guy and anyone that knows him or has seen his videos ect would agree 100%. I could go on with this for a long time but I am not trying to spark a holy war on here. I'm not trying to start a war or offend anyone but religion is and will be the downfall of society. All these people have lost the ability to think for themselves and as oldfella said just people taking words out of context and making them fit their personal agendas.

I've served in Iraq and have seen how zealots act, as well as how the christian zealots act here in the states. I hold no grudges against anyone and I respect peoples beliefs, but these groups trying to convert others, damning and killing others because they don't have the exact same beliefs, and propogating hate in the guise of bibilical teachings is getting out of control. And this is in reference to all religions not any in particular.

km- I have seen that video about bodybuilding being a satanic cult, but I was dissapointed that they didn't mention anything about the secret handshakes or human sacrifices(where else can one get SO much free protein), they should have been more thorough in their research, lol.

Are you kidding me? I am a firm believer in God, but I think it is ridiculous to single out any group of people or any other religion, especially one that does not do anything truly bad. You want to single a group out? maybe try meth dealers or something, but pro bodybuilders, who do nothing but promote a lifestyle of healthy eating and exercise? Please. I agree with buffbabeca. Just frustrating to see how close minded people out there are.

I've already posted a rather smart ass reply on here, but I have since watched more of this BULLSHIT on youtube. I am relatively new here and try to keep my inexperience to the beginner's forum, but this guy pisses me off and I feel that I need to get this off my chest!
I was introduced to bodybuilding at a relatively young age(15) but at the time I was already a pot smoker, drinker, and smoked about a pack of cigarettes a day(I was just a stupid kid,lol). Within two months of training and eating the right way, I had gained almost 20 pounds, gained strength(inner and outer) and quit all of the nasty things I was doing to my body cuz the 'high' I got in the gym was way better than anything I could buy on the street. Anyone who remembers what it is like at this age knows that it is a really awkward time, your voice cracks, you break out, you are clumsy(maybe that was just me,lol)etc. Bodybuilding helped me gain self-confidence, discipline, and a respect for my body I may have never developed otherwise. My point is that I'm sure most people could also relate equally positive experiences and I find it simply repugnant that anyone could say that it is 'of the devil'.
I am not a pro(or an am,lol) so I will not comment on Joe Weider's personal ethics, but I take these videos as an attack on bodybuilding in general and anyone who 'practices' it as well. Sorry if it seems like a rant, I just had to say something more about this. I will conclude with a piece of scripture for those who may question their involvement in this great sport from a theological standpoint.
