The sad part about the whole ordeal is when you become an officer of the law you are basically on your own till the day you quit, retire or are killed while on duty. Oh sure, there are departments for this and that to help these guys but too often no one goes in for help because it shows a sign of weakness. I have often wondered why police officers who minds most of the time snap so prematurely in their careers don't often have mandatory psychological testing every so many years. These guys have the highest divorce rate. The highest suicide rate. The highest rate for abuse of drugs and alchohol due to stress related causes. Yet they are supposed to be "above the law". It is not a for certain but I believe if there were some sort of mental clarity testing every so many years we would e able to catch many of these guys before their minds snap and do things like this.

help before he snapped?..people who do this crap are just f'ed up in the first place...it wasnt the job that messed this dude up..he was a sick fcuker to begin with...its almost agreed in the medical community that people with these types of thoughts and child porn lovers and molesters that there is really almost zero help for...they need to be chemically castrated (or physically!!)

just cause dude has a badge i wouldnt trust him..in fact from personal experience i trust them less

i trust almost no one with my kids/family...cant trust priests, rabbis etc etc..what makes cops different...they are just people with guns

and dont get me wrong..i know some great cops and friends that are cops...and it just so happens that they are cool people and do the job the right way

Though there are guys who want to make a difference and have pure intentions, you have to know that most of them already have a superiority complex and need the power and respect that automatically comes with receiving a gun and badge. You see it in their attitude every day. Sorry, I don't think you're a "hero" because you put on a police or military uniform. I think you're guilty of mental illness until proven otherwise. Just like politicians. Hell just watch the show "DEA". They're like adrenaline junkies looking for the next rush running around playing super agent, but they claim they're doing God's work and justify any action with a badge. They come busting in your house, throwing you around and because you ask "why?" you're resisting arrest. Even so, a big THANK YOU to all the REAL men, the real cops out there helping people and not just playing cowboy.

ha...i was just watching that show the other day on the treadmill...you are right..they think they are out to save the world...instead of the reality that it is just a job, just like a bathroom attendant you are paid to do a job and that is it...leave the attitude and other baggage at home where it belongs

one of the saddest examples i saw was this one cops show where a car wouldnt pull over and was only going like 10 mph. they(like 8 cops with a fucken adrenaline high) finally get it stopped and drag this old frail poor guy to the pavement bashing his head to the ground and roughly cuff him....turns out he was in diabetic shock!!! you could tell the idiots were so embarrassed! i hope they got sued

I know some very decent cops. But some these guys are to high strung and polarize themselves against those they are trusted to protect, this mentality I think breeds the brutality we so often see in the media, and in extreme cases violent ideation and criminal acts as portrayed by this shitbag above. Compounding this problem is the "blue shield" mentality of protecting their own..this guy is on administrative leave..he was allowed to resign, why is is he not locked up in general population? This guy was on chat rooms talking about raping and killing young boys and taking pictures of students at a local high school.

The reason is people and institutions in power don't benefit from making an example out of a criminal in their ranks. It only sheds more light on their operations. If he goes quietly, they can sweep it under the rug and people can forget. Then the status quo can be maintained, their interests protected, and their power unthreatened. Same goes for the government.

If you want to understand police just do some research on sociopathic police personality and more specifically aggressive socialpath.

Doesn't explain why this cop did what he did though as there are plenty of sociopathic cops who don't break actual laws, which is not the same as this cop who has more serious stuff going on that may be psychopathic or antisocial in nature.

Also there is a difference between someone who is a psychopathic criminal from a non-psychopathic criminal etc etc.
