hey i admit, i am impressed but, and dont take this wrong, if that is a sanctioned meet the judges were laxed.. it did not appear to legal depth.. but, i would love to have it nonetheless..

He weighs 160 pounds. It may not be unusual for some big ass lineman to squat 700lbs but I bet its VERY unusual for that weight class. Prob a record.

Thats a good point. knowbody wants to take anything away from the kid for doing such a great job but it is important to remember the sport has rules. Judges are always the bad guy. I could never be a judge for many reasons but the main one for me is that I wouldnt have the heart to be the guy to say "nope, the lift was incomplete" or dock points from a competitor on stage who worked so hard to get their but lacked some minor thing that killed it for him. I dont have the heart for that at all.

pretty freakin impressive but the carry over that people are getting out of the squat suits and bench shirts is getting damned ridiculous. that being said no way i could squat that much at that age even with a squat suit, so he's a strong kid regardless.
