well he basically attempted the 1015 and i thought as soon as they lifted if off the rack for him, it was going to be too heavy. I know has the 1005 record, but that may have been a better day for him then today. It basically came down slow but very hard and sunk into him a few inches, and they all had to pull it off of him.

What was funny was the anouncer guy says "Hes goign to try it again!" and it was obvious their was no way in hell he was going to try it again. And they just leave the cameras on them for like 2 mins he looked like he was in pain, im not sure why the kept the cameras on him so long. Then the anoucer says to HHH "is he about to try it again", HHH replies "NO he just had about 1000lbs crush his spleen, so i think we should move on"

RONNIE WINS AGAIN BABY!!! lol i think Badell should of took second and gunter looked the best ive ever seen him.

Well first here is the results:
http://www.bodybuildbid.com/articles/mrolympia/2005/2005-olympia-competitors.html

as a lot of you may know by now, Ronnie took it for 1st, Jay for 2nd, gustavo badell 3rd.

Ronnie got really upset that he lost the "challenge round" I think it was called. winner by point system get $25,000 where the top 5 bbers call each other out on a pose they want to do next to some one. Ronnie and Gustvo ended up with 12 points tied, so they had to go head to head just doing a pose down, and they were scored overall on the poses. I was shocked that Ronnie lost that one, he definitly shouldnt of and he was very pissed. they both back staged were interviewed after and ronnie had this really pissed off look on his face. THe interviewer was hitting his buttons saying some thing about, letting this young genntlemen come in here and beat you, and ronnie responds with, "Ya i didnt see it that way that i lost maybe you did, it doesnt matter, we'll see who wins the real thing"

after that in the pose down with the final 5 ronnie was so into it, and screaming and grunting with his poses, i think he was mad still lol. Cutler was very disapointed he didnt win this year, he purposley took off the Arnold classic to try and win this year, he was talking about not competing any more after this when they interviewed him, and that hes at a loss for words. He was also saying some thing about how he thinks they will just keep letting him win.

Besides that the whole thing was really entertaining, the anouncer they used, one of the regulars for all the UFC events, was screwing up peoples names all night and calling them different names, he was too nervous or something i think.

They interev

I hate to say it but I agree, Cutler was talking about retirement with his 2nd place here, 3rd would have killed him. I think a lot of the decisions are made for business, like every one knows cutler vs colemen was the big question, so they wanted to keep it like that if they could in the end.

RONNIE - BULLSHIT

Gustavo won the new $25,000 contest and beat ronnie, and Ronnie looked PISSED. Ronnie DID look better than last year, Cutler did NOT look as good as last year, and Gustavo ( the new russian guy, first time in Olympia I believe. Gustavo had it HANDS DOWN. This guy looked UNBELIEVEABLE. No, he was not FREAKY, no he didn't have that near 300lb size that Cutler and Ronnie have, but he had DEEP striations in his quads which SHOULD have won the best wheels contest which Cutler won which was not deserved one bit. Ronnie beat EVERYONE on the back issue of course, but even with the weight loss you could still see his destended belly even when he was hitting a back pose. This Russian guy excites me and I truly think if Ronnie doesn't compete, and possibly even if he does next year, that the Russian will win it. He DID NOT deserve third place. His legs are extremely shapely and striated, and by far looked better than anyone else on stage. He just didn't have the weight advantage, which means nothing to me. I was disappointed Dexter didn't compete this year, as he was the only one I can think of that could have held in my book with Gustavo. Dexter has better shape than Gustavo, but not much, especially for how much longer he has competed in the IFBB. Gustavo was most definitely more cut than I have seen Dexter in the past, but without the extreme fullness and shape. Dexter is still number one in my book, but I'm absolutely sure in my opinion that this Gustavo will forcefully change the way bodybuilding is looked at over the coming years as long as he doesn't ruin his body as so many of the pro's have so far. I think this guy can truly with a little more back work and the posing flaws which were horrible for a pro competitor (I'm sure everyone who saw noticed it EVERY time he hit a front relaxed pose his left hand and shoulder were much lower than his right hand and shoulder, very bad mistake since he had EVERYTHING else he could have together). I'll have to end my review with this comment, I still can't fucking believe that the damn judges just keep going for bigger is better. Again, I will post a picture of DP. I would like some input on my opinions here, and especially this one. DP when he came in 4th in the jr usa's I believe, looked shredded to a point that I think is just simply unattainable for almost all competitors, and I have NEVER and doubtfully unless rules change EVER see a picture of a competitor this cut. We were looking at a bunch of DP's pictures last night as we were watching the Olympia, and it amazes me that DP's highest placing that I know of in a national competiton was 4th place, and it disgusts me to be honest. Where is this sport going? Yeah, he was only 176lbs, but especially in the crab pose beneath I don't ever think I'll ever see a better one and can't believe DP doesn't have his pro card right now. It's just not right, and the sport is fucked up, plain and simple. Arguements please, I would like to hear some thoughts on this. Can anyone post a pic showing someone this damn cut? It's inhuman to me and just plain wrong. I know politics are a part of the game regretuflly, and admittedly I have not seen ANY pics of the people in the rest of DP's class this particular show, but I am confident he should have had first and in the overall as well as I have not EVER seen a man in this kind of condition.

I disagree.

Gustavo Badell is Puerto Rican and placed 3rd in last years O as well. Alex Ferderov is "the russian"

to tell the truth im sorry i paid for the dam thing .I didnt agree with anything other than ronnie should win . the challange round is about the most fucked up thing I ever saw and you could tell nobody even wanted to do it .the show was run like a bunch of 3rd graders .I tell ya I could have put on a better show .

Jay was quite bitter. Ronnie won, prejudging showed that. Jay can beat Ronnie if he comes to the table with something different i.e. superior condition. He has youth on his side. Ronnie has such great muscle maturity and density, and the added conditioning makes him simply unbeatable. He was the most conditioned and vascular athlete in the lineup. Ronnie made improvements once again. They want the gut issue addressed...BAM!! He dropped 15 pounds, slimmed up the waist. True Champion. Jay will be the man after Ronnie retires. In my opinion Jay did make some improvements, but the blocky watery look is stilll hurting him.

In the front comparisons, Ronnie is just too dominant, his legs, too big for Jay, waist and stomach much smaller than Jay's - too me it looked as though Jay's legs flattened out too much - they were very flat and markedly smaller than his upper body. I think he probably flattened out and then tried to excessively carb back up because this was the first time I have ever seen Jay's stomach bloated - very surprising.

From the side is where Ronnie took over with complete domination as his side shots were in another league. What did surprise me was that this show was the first time Jay was able to hang with Ronnie (from the waist up) in the back shots. Jay's rear double bicep was impressive and has very much improved - but Ronnie's is still better. However, from the side and front - Ronnie is still just too overpowering for anyone at this point in time.

It was a good battle, but there is no doubt that Ronnie is clear cut. You can look at photos all you want, but in person at the show today - every person I spoke to still thinks Ronnie is light years ahead of the pack - just the total package and a look that is different from everyone else on stage. I'm not taking anything away from Jay- he's still a great athlete and the time off helped him to make several improvements, but he just didn't come out with the impact I thought he would have with taking the year off. I just would have liked to have seen his trademark abs and thighs - that would have made a real battle.
:)
