Take as much as you can afford, I think that's tailored more to really competitive BBers. For a recreational guy to take this advice is just foolish! Spend your money on something else, hell, a car would be a better investment.

Recreational guy? I thought this was professional muscle not recreational muscle.

Can you please elaborate? What other pathways do gh stimulate?
It all depends on what you want in life and what you can afford. If I was able to pay all my bills and had leftover spending cash, than yes, it would go towards gear, then GH... As long as I have a car that runs and a house that I can live in, I am satisfied. Even if that car is on the older side; I will keep it until it dies on me...
I may not be a pro nor somebody who competes actively (I have done a few shows, but on a random basis 'for fun') but bodybuilding is my main hobby in life and I enjoy seeing where I can take my body to.
