How "real" is testicle shrinkage?

THe only problem I see with it is that many guys feel like that when they are 20 something, but once they are in their early to mid 30s they feel differently. Fall in love and get married and it all changes. If the uses does this for too long then there is a chance that they will not be able to father a child ever, or at least have a lot of problems that will stress out the wife and the marriage. We have seen it on here numerous times.

maldorf dont you think thats pretty rare though bro, sure maybe have a more difficult time ,but it almost always bounces back, not so much testosterone ,but sperm, i mean many doctors claim fertility is completly reversable once you quit the steroids ,guys even in there 40s who have been on for a decade or more straight, look at all the pro bodybuilders who fathered children after retirement

At some point, I couldn't even remember I once used to have testicles... not only did they shrink, they shrank to NOTHING (or almost)...

And even after being off for a long time, they never really got back to their original size... much bigger and decent (nothing to be ashamed of in front of the opposite sex ) but still not the same. Oh well...

I've been on TRT for about 10years, the first 4-5 years I never used HCG (my Dr knows very little) mine shrunk by about 50%. Now that I use HCG I gained back alittle size, but not much!

If you want to enjoy your freedom when you're young, travel the world, bang random tail, be responsible for no one but yourself etc., would trading all that in just so you aren't lonely when you're old be worth it? I have children myself, but I didn't have them so I wouldn't be lonely when I'm d lol.
I'm sure you can come up with a better reason.

I never said a thing about being lonely, think that was someone else. My point is that when you are young you have different priorities and when you grow older those will change usually. Some might change their minds and want kids, some. For those that want to later on it may become a problem because of a decision they made 10-20 years earlier. Just something to think about.

I compare this to the young guys saying "If I die young because of using steroids they will just have to bury me in a bigger box", like they don't care if they lose 20 to 40 years off their life. The better to burn out than to fade away attitude. It seems fine when you are young but later on when shit gets real it looks a lot different.

Very noticeable decrease in my case and did not fully recover even when totally off for extended periods.

The reason I go to a "fertility" specialist for my TRT is because he has an entire practice built on helping people procreate. He monitors things pretty closely according to your stated desires.

There is no way in this world as a 20 to 30 year old male I would forfeit my ability to procreate via steriods unless I would also willingly get a Vasectomy.

You never know. Your wants, needs, desires will probably change from 20 to 35. If they don't, well, that is probably a happy life too because you don't know any better. Also you will not always be the only one making these decisions, you may have a companion as well.

I do not have children other than my pet, however, I think the ability to create another life with someone you love, may be the biggest unrealized asset you have. It has untold value in your life. I would tend to believe most people with these created organisms would list them at the top of their assets/quality of life except for when they are in middle school. They can eat shit in middle school, but then they will be valuable again after.

Yes I agree..i remember saying the same thing when i was in my early 20's .

Almost everyone will get noticeable atrophy. And everyone I have ever seen an ultrasound on who was on TRT had testicular fibrosis. We used to never see it but quite common these last 10 years.


What i dont know is if upon stopping the TRT and using PCT would the fibrosis reverse... my thoughts are NO. And that might be one of the reasons some guys who have been on dont recover to pre AAS natural test levels despite adequate PCT.

Would hcg prevent it?

To everyone expressing concern for my not wanting kids, I do appreciate it, but I'm in my mid 30's, pushing into late 30's really and I love kids but have never, ever, not once had the desire to have any of my own.

I've always been a lone wolf type. As a kid I loved playing by myself, as a teen I had a small circle of friends but preferred working out or working on my car etc on my own. Even as an adult I don't keep a huge circle of friends, just my g/f or whoever I am dating... I see my co-workers at work and the regulars at the gym when we workout/need a spot etc. but aside from that I only hang out with whoever I am dating. I'm a pretty low energy person so this is actually as much as I can handle, I dread when family comes to visit etc.

I'd be concerned if I felt lonely but I don't at all. I actually look forward to Friday nights I can spend alone just reading a good book or going for a nice drive by myself etc.

Just wanted to say that but let's keep it on topic. And I guess it's a crap shoot as to whether balls will shrink to nothing or stay the same. Looks like I'll take a few months off HCG and see if there's any aching or softness or anything.

If you guys don't mind I will chime in about a couple of things... 1st.. testicle size... mine have never shrunk by any significant amount.. and on my last cycle which was my biggest one to there was no noticeable shrinkage. I also recently had a sperm analysis done a month ago. I was off test and everything for about a month. I have been on small doses of TRT since 2011 and I have been using medi L cannabis for a little over a year. I last had a daughter born in 2013 but haven't been able to have any since. I am 41 now and my wife kind of wants another one. Also in early 2014 I had a urethrascopy which is a surgery due to blockages in the urethra and they pretty much make a small incision to undo the block so you can pee and patch it up with skin or tissue within your cheek. Also had a complication after the surgery due to an infection in one of my testicles where I had to be monitored and in intravenous antibiotics for 72 hours. The sperm analysis came back as they expected. Volume was actually high normal, ph was normal but my sperm count was .1% of 15 million. So that is really really bad, they said it's a combination of the testosterone and cannabis but mostly from the surgery. My wife doesn't want to do IVF so my baby making days are through. If I didn't have the surgery and still continued the other 2 there wouldn't have been too much of a problem conceiving. So I believe these so contribute to low sperm count but nothing drastic like what happened to me. Btw... that surgery was no joke... super painful and near my scrotum it is still kind of numb from the incision. I don't know where I was going with this but I just received all this info today and thought I would share it.
