Just survived heart attack at age 38, follow up to Phil's post

35 y/o

it was at the end of one normal training day.. in one time cant breath normal and directly after pain and sweat like a beast.. directly to hospital.

i hope tomorrow the specialist make me one echo..whateverway i will do it.

What a disaster in one time.. wich check you think is the best to see if the stents are working good??

thanks to answer so quickly!

Holy shit that’s young!! I hope you make a full recovery!

Can I ask if you know if it’s genetic in your family?

Were you taking any AAS? Dosing heavy etc?

Are you a big guy? Weigh too much etc?

My father die with one heart attack. I was 500tes e and 500 bolde, im not so heavy 96kg to 183cm, in a good shape.
I was stupid, blast and cruise 10 years or so.. with almost no control.. sometimes bloodpanel and Ekg... and is not enough.

I think a Muga scan would be ok to check the stents. Of course another cardiac cath (angiogram) would show the most but that is invasive and they just don't do those unless you are experiencing bad symptoms of ischemia.

I didn't have to get any stents because my artery was blocked 100% by a big clot. Once they sucked it out, my artery was clear. Another problem for me, that part of my heart is all dead anyways so that artery closed off later anyhow.

How old was your dad? Did you happen to get tested for blood clot disorders like factor 2 and factor 5?

My father die with 55yo.
i dont test until now the factors but its a must, today is the talk with the cardiologist.

my god maldorf u are made from other Galaxy, what a machine!

Thanks for the compliment. Everyday seems like a fight for me, much is mental. I hope you feel normal now and in the years to come your heart attack will just seem like a distant bad dream.

Let us know what the cardiologist says. I hope you dont have a clotting disorder like me. You may have to go on TRT if your normal testosterone levels dont come back. Give it time because your level might recover. I waited 11 months before I went on TRT. See an endocrinologist if you must.

You do not need a pacemaker or defibrillator like me?

You are right, it is NOT enough. When playing with hormones like that I have to say that nothing is enough. So many guys think getting bloodwork will keep them safe. EKG too really wont show much. An echo every few years would help, but few do that.

Maldorf u are a machine! The worst fight is mental always,,, is the fuking true.

Still hospital because cant breath normal. Dr make me one ecocardiogram because i cant breath normal, he see a little bit inflamated the pericardium and a little liquid also. Directly to make one tac with contrast (i think is right in english) to check if is only this and nothing worse. He dont say me nothing about pacemaker, etc. All is normal say the dr, tomorrow i must to talk with him.
Baggg what a shit.

Its normal to have some inflammation of the pericardial sac and pericardium after surgery. That can cause some fluid to gather in the sac. Hopefully it will be absorbed. I think they can drain it out if it doesn't get better. I only had inflammation and they gave me acetaminophen and that took care of the pain I was having. Hang in there, youll be home before you know it. Being home is so much better! I hate those hospital beds and how the nurses come in like every 4 hours to draw your blood.

Just talk with the cardiologist. She say that i lost around 5-10% where i had the problem and we must to check the medicine for the tension because maybe is that make me breath a little difficult. Weekend in the hospital minimun.

Great. Sounds like the damage was very minimal. I lost about 35% of my ejection fraction. That's why you dont need a defibrillator like me, your damage is small. You very well might regain 1/2 of that as you recover in the next few months. No more steroids, but you know that. I'm happy for you. That is great news!

Still dont know what is, i cant breath normal. Saturation of oxigen 93 is not too low but also is not correct. Tension 14/8..

Im waiting the result of the check of covid19 and wtf i just read how the virus also attack the cardio system. Buff im thinking what can be i hope i will be wrong..

You dont have pulmonary edema do you?

I hope you don't have the covid-19 virus. You'd probably have a fever if you did.

I dont have pulmonary edema, just little inflamated the pericardio. The test of covid is negative, today the make me other one again. Also yesterdst check the value dimero-D to see if can be also a pulmonary embolism, negative.
Yesterday i had also fiber and my prostste totally inflamated, what a pain to make pee. Today orine check and blood panel again....
Shhgg i want to go home!!

Things sound ok. Not sure why you feel like it's hard to breathe. The hospital seems to be doing all the right tests! You will be home soon. Be careful not to get sick with covid-19. Make sure you have a good supply of your medicine before you go home, so you dont have to go out to get more.

Do you have someone at home to shop for food and supplies for you? I haven't left the house in over 3 weeks now. Risk everytime you go out.

Just arrive home, fucking busy the hospital.... now appointment with all drs agh..

medicines:
aspirin high doses around 2gr\1gr per day just 10 days, after 100mgAM
+
omeoprazol 20mg AM
prasugrel 10mg AM
ramipril 2,5mg 1\2 AM
bisoprol 2.5mg AM
atorvastatina 80mg PM

after one month check with cardiologist...

I gona book one appointment with other cardiologist, there was so busy to talk and they annoying me how they handle all.
I want to talk about supps and exercise.

Ubiquinol, pomegranate extract, niacin, policosanol, garlic oil, citrus bergamot and also about carnicore.

how long you was waiting to train maldorf? u still taking ubiqui?

I waited about 3 weeks, and the first week I did nothing but cardio. Start in slow and take it easy. You'll have to hold yourself back, it's hard to do.

Weights I keep lighter, doing reps between 15 and 20 to start. Later on now I try not to do less than 10. Make sure you dont hold your breath because that raises your blood pressure and puts added stress on the heart. You'll need to rest longer between sets, give your heart a chance to slow rate down sufficiently. I go by feel. At times I've used a heart rate monitor. Slow down to at least 100 bpm is ok if you feel fine. How you feel is important too.lower the volume of sets you do too. At first I did just 1 set per body part on a 3 day split.

Main thing is to not get your heart rate too high. If you get it too high you could go into ventricular tachycardia, the signal for heart beat is then generated down in the ventricle and that's not normal. The heart then will beat in a bad rhythm and really fast. I've been stuck at 180 bpm. If that happens to you then it would be a good idea to call 911. That can get worse and go into ventricular fibrillation which then progresses very fast into cardiac arrest. I've got a defibrillator, so my life will be saved when that fires off.

You dont have an implanted defibrillator do you?

Thought I might also mention I have been having communication with another member that just had a heart attack. This is much more common than most of you want to admit.
