No disrespect taken. That big fukin' Canadian has one of the best physiques on the circuit and I've never really seen him off. I do think Labrada could make it interesting but overall, Iain does currently have him. He is currently probably still in the 260's but carries a few more inches of height if I'm not mistaken. I dont really see him being all that bigger, Valliere certainly has some years on him. We shall see in Tampa. Their builds are actually somewhat similar, albeit Iain being taller. Who else is competing in Tampa? Labrada placing top 3 would be a huge win at this stage in his career... and that's probably getting ahead of myself wo seeing the competitors list

I'm a Hunter fan. He trains at my gym a couple times a month. Great dude too.

I'm not sure who else is going down there. I think top top 5 is definitely possible for Hunter.

I think Valliere will certainly 'appear bigger'. He'e probably 3 inches taller and 10-15lbs heavier than Hunter will be.

Ian is ridiculously stable under large loads, there's a video of him doing 5 plates for 6+ reps extremely controlled and slow

Doing reps with super heavy weight is impressive, doing it while making it look controlled and stable is a step above that

Being from USA I can say that we love Canada and the Canadian people.

My girl and I have contemplated moving there if she ever decides to leave or switch jobs.

He's not his father and he's competing in a different era where what's necessary to succeed is a little more risky. Lee never compromised his ideals even as the sport was changing around him. He knew once Dorian pushed the envelope and everyone else followed suit that his time was up.

I would imagine Lee is supportive of his son, helpful to him in doing everything as safe as he can, but probably doesn't like that things have gotten so far that Hunter has to do things that Lee didn't have to back in the '80s.
