100 ml vials : yes or no ?

I used 100 ml vials but I really ask myself if the sterility stays ok when using such a big size if gears stay in it for a while

what's ur input ?

you need to get steril vials and split it up into loke 10cc vials.
also dont forget to use a filter when doing it, this will guarentee the most steril enviornment possible.

I use a 500 mL round bottom flask (not full though ) with a glass stopper, the type used in chemistry labs. No rubber nipple with crimped metal top, just draw directly from the flask. Never had any trouble.

As long as everything was sterile to begin with, there is enough BA, and you only stick sterile needles in the vial - there should be no problems.

If it's that big and sealed, your prob. would be multiple piercings through the top...Use a big gauge and you have yourself some rubber stopage in your shit...I like 10ml vials

I think its fine if you always make sure to alcohol swab the stopper everytime.

I have used 50ml over multiple cycles

3 mos aprt with certain jugs and never had any problems, but then again I know whats in my stuff. Always swab the top, and use clean pins, should be fine.

Yea i've used 50's over the years. Follow proper hygiene and should be fine. As others above have said.

I use 50ml and 100ml sterile, sealed vials routinely. I find that, when brewing, it assists in the ability to produce a consistently dosed product over the entire volume. Nothing stops one from then transferring product to smaller vials. However, since I only "bake goodies" for myself, here are the precautions I take:

1) use good sterile technique every time

2) draw with one neeedle & then change it for a fresh one prior to injecting
every time.

The problem....

Your going to come across that the repeated stabs when you draw out what you need will eventually cause little pieces of rubber to break off and float in your gear. Some of these as someone mentioned will be drawn up into your syringe. Yes a filter would help, but I just think use the 10cc vials and be safe......

The problem with large vials is the stopper pieces come off and you have "floaters" in your gear after too much repeated use. It is better to put in a 10 or 20ml vial. Unless you like floaters
