A young man I know who has been lifting weights less then a year and who has made some nice gains already wants to use test. I told him no that his body is still growing and his test is most likely high anyway. I can't seem to get him to understand that there is a time and place for everything. I want him to wait until he is about 21. This way he will have a few good years of training under his belt, if he sticks with it. I'm at a loss as to what else to tell him. He is 6'1'' and about 155lbs. He has a lot of growing to do. He wants to powerlift and he only cares about getting stronger. Some help guy's, maybe I'll let him read the responses.

buy a bottle of advil, tell him they are 50mg abombs, and give him 1 a day while working with him on his diet :)

Take him to a local PL gym. You can ask the guys at elitefts.com for one in your area.

Been there myself years ago. I gained 20 lbs of water weight really quick and then lost it 6 weeks later. Then about 6 months later, hit a massive growth spurt and put on 50 lbs. of muscle in 6 months NATURALLY!

It's tough. How do you make sense to a kid that age that is SURE that the only way to get big and strong is to juice? I was convinced of this as well. Perhaps if you had some big guy powerlifting friends who can explain to this kid what happens to his body at that age and how to use his naturally high test levels at that age, it might get through.

However, I have to say that when I was that age and if some big guys told me that, I would still be thinking in the back of my mind that they were just saying that because they are all juiced and don't need to worry about that. But, you never know. One of them, a real competitive powerlifter might actually be able to get through if he can speak to the kid on his level.

Someone had a post just like this yesterday. You should read it, lots of good advice there.

Besides all of that advice, keep in mind that he is a minor and you may have serious legal problems if it were ever discovered. It's a bad idea all around.

Two big reason why he shouldn't.

1) His bone plates will fuse and he will not get any taller. Why on earth would you want to prematurely stunt your growth???

2) He will shut down his natural test production which may never recover completely 100% as this is the time of his life when it starts to peak which he will miss.

Just plain nuts if you ask me. These are the kinds of things that really help give aas a bad rap. It should be legal with a doctors script and no doctor, even an enlightened one who would prescribe aas would ever to a 17 year old.

6'1" at 155? Is this for real? That kid hasn't even worked out hard a day in his life. Tell him to post his Diet and training, my guess, it is crap! He is looking for a magic pill that is going to make him look like a BB. Well, guess what? There is no such thing! I know some idiot at the gym who takes AAS and is fat with skinny legs. He wants to powerlift? I happen to know the legendary John Kuc, he work out like an animal. No magic pill would have set those records. Tell that lazy kid to work out and put his dues in.

penalties are devastatingly harsh when it comes to minors. as they should be.

i wouldnt have anything to do with that. let him stunt his own growth.

get his ass some halodrol and play it off as abombs

his mentality is inline with our pill society as in everyone wants results now,im sure that is what he is thinking,at his age his hormone levels should be off the charts add with that a solid diet and consistant workout program he should be able to obtain great results but if he persisit to crossover dont help him or at least i would not.

Do all you can to steer him another direction. At his age his natural hormone production is raging,,,he should take advantage of those while he can,,all he needs is diet,,training and rest for great gains.

Do what ever you can to talk hiut of it. Tell him his balls will shrink, his dick will go limp and he will not be interested in sex with chicks. he will never be able to have kids etc. If he says why do guys use it then. You tell him they are older and their bodies are producing enough test as adults, so supplementing with test is not too bad. But as a teen he has not let his endocrine system develop and he will risk shutting down his own test. You really need to steer him away from this until he is much older and more experienced.

This is one circumstance where i would strongly discourage the use of gear. He has not been training long, so ill assume not dieting long. and that height, and that weight, he has A LOT left to gain naturally. And im one of the guys that is a bit more lenient as to who and when its acceptable to use. (i, myself, started gear at 17, but i was 5'10 - 215 ish lbs.) Tell him his gains will not be too great if he starts now, cause he can get more naturally.. and that if he starts now, with not too much of a base, he will be selling himself short in the long run. get a base, and in a couple years, think about it.. MAYBE.

THIS

He doesn't sound very bright to begin with and I doubt he's done any research whatsoever if he's only been lifting a year. Im 6"1 and 155 too, 19 years old, lifting four years and haven't done a cycle yet. Scare tactics will work on him if he's done no research. Try it.

Tell him it will stunt his growth. Actually, I was mostly finished growing at 17, but did get a little taller until the age of 20. Of course, he will probably say he's happy with his height anyway, at 6'-1" tall. But at least it will be the truth. That's why kids won't listen now a days, is because adults keep lying to them all the time. Truth is always better, as corny as that shit sounds.

Or tel him some men get permanently low testosterone levels from using gear. That will scare the hell out of him and is also true.

The problem with scare tactics is he may see some juiced up guy who has never had any problems, or has a bunch of kids, full head of hair, etc.

Actully that is a good idea !!! he will think it is gear, then train harder and diet better ... and probably put on a good 10-15 lbs in a few months....

smack him in the head and tell him next time ull beat his ass! juts yoking!:D

there is no complicated explanation that needs to be written here.

there is only one response:

NO!!!!

perhaps a slap in the face along with the phrase 'smarten up kid'
