why the fk does everyone have to be a pro to be successful in bodybuilding?
I had aspirations to be a pro early on just like a lot of these younger guys, I won some city, local, and State shows but nothing national even though I qualified. You can never take those memories away still got my plastic trophies medals and photos journals diets etc. i never felt like a failure, and still remember being handed those trophies and the euphoria afterward.
There are thousands of people on these forums that don't compete, and many that do. Many will never win a show, but will compete cause they enjoy it.
I think younger guys take too much stuff and put too much stock in GH and peptides peptides, but then again there was a time in which I took more than I needed for longer than I did so who am I to judge. Who's to say I wouldn't have reacted the same way if I was born 20 years earlier.
The things I regret in bodybuilding is the extreme sacrifices I made during these times, and ended up missing out on a lot of things..realizing much later that having an occasional bad meal or staying out late wouldn't have really made a difference. This is a selfish game and I lost someone very special to me early on that was there for me from the start that was very supportive of all my efforts through out college, but at some point she wanted out due to the lifestyle.
Let's these guys do there thing and go after their dreams, we have no idea on the education work and relationship status of the rest of their lives.
Far too much negativity in this world and on this board lately, a couple of guys on here just post for attention, and we should all be on here to help and support each other because you don't get jack shit respect from the real world gen pop.
