accidentally left my insulin in my gym bag..

i left my insulin in my gym bag in my house. it probably didnt get hot, more likely just room temp, but is it worthless now??

|--[\\\]>------- I dont believe 'slin is temp. sensitive. I have always kept it in my sock drawer and it was fine. i think it'll keep LONGER if it's fridged but i dont think it went bad.

Your slin is fine. Since you likely go through it at a slower rate than an actual diabetic, it is a good idea to keep it in the fridge to maintain potency, but you can have it reach room temperature with no problems.

Diabetics travel with their insulin all the time.

well I used to always keep it cold ,but one day I forgot about the slin I had brought home and left it in a drawer . anyway I totaly forgot about it then found it again 2 months later ,said what the hell and did 20ius worked like a charm .

insulin is temperature sensitive, it's cheap to replace so get a new bottle

You're correct insulin is temp sensitive... However, it will be fine if it is left out for a short duration... My wife is a diabetic and she keeps her's in the fridge, but she has also left it in the car on a hot day and still used it with no problem... I say just don't let it be exposed to hot temps for very long... Again, it is cheap stuff and easy to replace...
