anabolic diet vrs traditional high carb high protein diet

What is everyone's thoughts on the following two options


1. anabolic diet

less than 30g carbs then 40-50% fats and 50% protein then carb load on the weekends


2. traditional diet---- lots of carbs and protein

trying to lean bulk

i am trying the anabolic diet right now and i am losing fat and staying the same weight---- up a couple of pounds. i am eating 4k-5k calories a day from fats and protein and hardly any carbs, then carbing up on weekends with low fats and low protein. I am going to start my next cycle in 4 weeks and i was wondering which diet i should go with

if the anabolic diet is working for you now then I would continue with it. I on the other hand I prefer a better mix of protein, carbs and fats. But that is me!! There is no harm in switching up down the track. You need to be careful of a carb restricted diet when you want to carb up again. You may get the rebound water bloat from adding more carbs. But in this case probably not.
 
I've had great success with the anabolic diet. It's really just eliminating a macro, but I think it's success depends on someone's insulin sensitivity perhaps.

After my initial run on it, where I got in great shape and strength through the roof, I could never get my body to respond the same way to it. At least not to the success I originally had.

I recently did a month of Gironda's diet, which is basically the same thing, only with a carb up every 4th or 5th day. It worked well. I prefer the earlier carb up, which actually DiPasquale says if you need it, do a mid-week carb up.

Stick with it, sounds like it's working well.
