anyone else think it would be a good idea to move the huge syringe advertisement to the bottom or change it or something. i have kids around all the time, family coming over, etc and the huge syringe on top the page just looks really bad when people happen to see it or i always have to hurry up and log off. maybe its just me

IMHO, professional muscle = professional drugs, and most people know that

there is a pronounced illicit element to bodybuilding

and people know this

are the ads for online pharmacies, anabolics, or GEAR any less ominous?

this whole place begs for DEA scrutiny, and i dont think rearranging ads will have an affect on how it is perceived. if someone is walking by your cube and they see a bodybuilder saying, "Looking for anabolics?" I doubt they would be less suspicious.

in some cases, it would make perfect sense to have a syringe on an academic or scientific site

i dont know when it would make sense to have ads for recreational or illicit or rerouted pharmaceutical agents on a site...

just my opinion. i know a lot of people will bitch about this. whatever.

At a quick glance it is much easier to see a syringe than read a thread title or ad. I agree with Edge, however the sponsor pays for that space, and Big A is running a business...

Yes. I tend to agree. A little hard to look at the site when at work, but I usually scroll down the page where its out of view. Maybe redo the logo like Hardwood's? With a hot chick riding a big syringe! hehehe...

What you're saying also falls into the catagory of thinking that 'All bodybuilders use drugs'.

I've been proven before, that you don't have to use steroids to be a bodybuilder or get a great physique. There are plenty of natural bb'ers that look incredible.

I'm just really shocked that you'd say something like that - and I can be pretty damn ignorant! (pot to kettle, i know!)

I agree. The big dart is one of the first things that grabs your eye. I appreciate sponsors and responsible safe shooting practices as much as anyone here. But it is ominous to see this at the start.

uuuhhh no, i mean friends, family and the hundreds of kids in and out of my house on a daily basis, i have a 14 year old. i do not surf at work.

I happen to agree but I also know that BigA is running a business here so I do not know what to say. But it has happened many times at my office or with family around and I have to click off real fast. I just think something less obvious would be in order...

If board sponsors read this thread maybe they might take our thoughts into consideration when they design their banners.

what you guys are missing is that we dont need any extra attention, nobody does. not that taking away a dart will hide the board, but it is fairly eye catching. as far as our personal privacy, if the ad were simply changed 99% of the time no one walking by or in your home will give a 2nd look. an eye catching syringe will get 2nd looks. its not about our rights or sterile syringes rights, its the fact that nobody needs someone else (especially if in work) associating you with syringes. rumors get around, someone thinks (steriods, heroin, this guy plans to inject someone lol) its a simple fix that saves alot of people alot of aggravation and hurts no one. in fact it would allow more of us access to the board at times we couldnt before. all things about the site could be a little more discrete. not that you cant say steroids or anything but GET STEROIDS, BUY STEROIDS HERE, draws extra attention on a personal level. without the big syringe and bold steroid ads 99% of the time nobody gives a second look, everybody wins.

Just my .02 but I don't have a problem with it. Reason is it would be hypocrytical to hide it from prying eyes, but do the same behind closed doors. (this is not directed to you edge250 so please don't take it that way) Many of us here are in the same game. To hide it would be like saying "i just come here for the food recipes and nothing else". Instead of hiding it, I say teach people about the good things about roids and the good things about this board! The giant syringe is just a picture to most people. Nothing more.
