Anyone here do Sprints?

im scared to loose size (or having it be harder to put on lean muscle) and loosing strength if i do them.

distance runners are thin and gangly looking. world class sprinters generally have heavily muscled physiques. i doubt you'll lose size. just eat more protein and fats if you do. as for strength loss, you might lose some at first but explosive movements tend to build strength. you just might squat a bit more after a few weeks of sprints.

why more fats? why not more carbs?
 
everybody in my mma gym that has a fight coming up has to run sprints 3 days a week until tota l exhaustion. It cuts weight quick and does hurt there strength.

sorry i should have said more calories in general. my personal preference is high protein high fat and low carb.

well yea running sprints until total exhaustion plus trying to make weight will definitely kill strength....
 
Who doesnt love sprints?

For fatloss or "cuttingup" that wouldnt make sense, as the HIT excercise isnt really the best way to burn calories. However the benefits surpass fatloss.

I do 30, 40yrd dashes and jog backwards as the break. Its grueling especially if you give it your all every one, dont waste your time if you dont.
