Astragulus dose?

Hi All

Currently taking astragulus from NOW Foods (below) at 3g a day

It says 2 caps is 1g of astragulus root so i take 6



I've received ordered and received the below

Does that mean i have to take 3 caps of the new one or 12? to get my daily 3g

From my understanding the top limit on getting powder into a 00 capsule is about 750mg. Not sure how they jam 1000mg into a 00.

The label doesn't make a ton of sense. If the amount per serving is 250mg per capsule, then how is that "equivalent" to 1,000mg of astragalus.

I could see if the label states it was 1,000mg yielding 250mg @ a 25% extract but no clue how 250mg yields 1,000mg.

To the OP. Just order the Vitamin Shoppe brand and be done. Read through some of the old posts.

3 caps. It says each cap is the equivalent of 1000 mg.

Its 250mg of 4:1 ratio = 1000mg per cap.

From what I understand and from research, you dont want a ratio, but whole root powder alone. Some have reported ratios dont exert the same benefits as root powder.

They can't say the capsule is 1000mg as it is not. It is 250mg so they havre to say it that way or it is false advertising.
And it has been brewed down to a concentration of 4 times the starting weight. So 250 at 4x the starting weight(4:1) is the same as 1000mg yet only weighs 250mgs.
