I'm wondering why I don't see this listed more often or more prominently in precontest diets? I would think that a natural diretic in vegitable form would be highly desireable. Are there reasons not to use it in large amounts? or am I just looking at the wrong precontest diets?

It's a great vegetable but there's no reason to be worried about holding water until the VERY end of a precontest diet.

I have never tried asparagas juice. In fact I don't think I've ever seen it. I'm trying to figure out if throwing asparagas in a blender until its luquid counts as asparagas juice?
 
fresh vs canned

I love both, but fresh is sooo much better. Thcanned kind is always a bit mushy compared to fresh. I drink the liquid off the canned type like a shot.
Its delicious. I love to steam the fresh, but the can stuff is good as is...right out the can.
 
Fresh and frozen are staples for me, absolutely love the stuff! If I am not dieting a little olive oil and garlic/salt make for a really tasty side to whatever meat I am eating. When dieting I just steam and eat.

I love adding olive oil to it with a little salt and pepper and throw them on the grill.

But does anyone know if throwing them in the blender is the same thing as asparagas juice?

That's exactly what I do. In the summer, that along with Brcolli is my choice of vegtables
