Berberine & beta blocker interactions

Hey guys
So I’ve started up taking a small amount of insulin, 5 ius, pre workout so in addition I decided to add in some berberine as well. Yesterday after my workout all my post workout carby meals I took some Berberine which I’ve used in the past and about an hr after I started feel super nauseous, tired, dizzy, lightheaded . So I checked my blood sugar to find it was in range and later was able to put together that it could be a blood pressure issue. My diastolic bp was under 60, 48 at its lowest which prompted me to do some googling to find that Metoprolol and Berberine can have a negative interaction causing low blood pressure. Has anything like this happening to anyone here before? If so how did you end up managing your insulin sensitivity? Metformin seems like the next logical progression but I also worry about potential interactions there.

You sure your blood sugar monitor is accurate? Did this just go away on its own or did you eat carbs?

Question, why did u add the berberine in the first place? You using a small amount of insulin preWO will have 0 effect on your blood sugar. Or was it for some other reason?

I have no reason to believe my blood sugar monitor would be inaccurate, it’s a brand new machine. Every time I’ve felt poorly and tested blood sugar it had colds come back normal. The only thing that’s come back abnormal was blood pressure which saw no fluctuations from eating carbs obviously. I did try eating salty food and pounding lots of liquids and that did bring my BP to a normal level. I’m assuming this issue is from the mix of the 2 medications but I could be entirely wrong and it could be something unrelated but that’s the only thing so far that seems to make sense

I have been using berberine for high blood sugar and for the first time in many years I can take mk677 and also GH without the debilitating fatigue. It's been a game changer for me....no more brain fog. 1200 mg am pm.
