So what do you guys do if you get blood in the needle? Find another site and inject away or switch out needle and try to get as much blood out as possible prior to injection?

You need to find another site of course, but dont have to change out the needle as long as it doesnt come in contact with anything once you pull it out and then restick. You will be able to tell if any new blood comes out on the second time you aspirate if you watch it carefully. Reinjecting your own blood isnt going to hurt you, that is as long as its still sterile and didnt touch a surface somewhere.

find a new site with same needle

you can also get a little blood and NOT be in a vein or artery

you'll know if your in a vein.....the tube will fill up quickly and easily

and you'll lose the (vacuum) in the tube

Use a new one everytime you stick yourself....

Ummm go new pin new site. DO not ever use the same needle once it was injected. TOO much risk for infection. Needles are cheap anyways. Better safe than sorry. One wrong shot then sepsis can be a chance. GOOD LUCK BROTHA!

not only do you risk infection but also the needle gets dull everytime you poke it...

From personal experience it hurts a fuckload more the second time you use the same needle.
