Gizmo, what was the carrier oil? I had the same thing happen recently and thought I might be reacting to the oil itself. Every injection went well but every time 5 days later I'd be all red and swollen. Then I'd be sore a few days and it would go away. Switched to same compound at same dose with a different carrier oil and I've been fine.

It's also possible to hit a lymph node while injecting around the arm (mainly inside the arm, long head of triceps, etc.) IF that's the case, the fluid build-up will sit there for a while!

I've had a couple bad ones over the years. I know one was from EO (partially) not sure about the other. I will always get a HUGE shot of penicillin and a healthy dose of oral antibiotics. If it has shown visible progression in only a day or two I'll demand IV antibiotics. Those injection infections are no joke and need to be killed quickly and completely. I still have damage to my left calf to this day from cellulitis from a bad shot like 14 years ago

I actually don't know although I can tell you I'm fine using coconut oil. Like I said I was young and dumb back then and was just stoked to have gear (this was like 10 years ago) and didn't know anything about carrier oils.
