Ok I use caffeine, as does everyone in the world!
Well lately i have noticed that when using caffeine my insulin sensitivity is completely not there. Say I eat 30gms of carb at breakfast, i would generally give 3 units of insulin. But an hour later my blood sugar would be 200 - 300 points higher than when I woke up. I can even give twice the dose of insulin and it is still high.
after researching, caffeine causes blood sugar issues, i stopped using caffeine (like in a fat burner pre breakfast) and my sugars had been fine. I recently started ECY and baby asprin and the problem is back.
So a few questions here. Would ECY work as just E and Y with asprin? Or just take my ECY after breakfast before a meal of just protein and fats, when I wouldnt need insulin?
I never noticed the problem too much with pre workouts but last night when working out my sugar was way up there.
Should i just give more insulin to try and over compensate for the effect of caffeine on insulin?
its weird becuase non of my DRs ever said to not use caffeine.
