can insulin go bad?

i have had a vial of insulin for a few months, but it has always been in the fridge. reason i ask is because i used 10ius and waited about 15 mins to take and carbs down but i didnt really even start feeling jittery or anything, maybe it didnt kick in by then, but im just curious.

there should be a date on the side of the bottle..I think they are to be used within a year of when you get it..

30 days at room temp, 1 year if keep at correct temp.. for 20.00 i would toss if you think it's gone bad.

only thing i can think of is popping 20iu and taking a nap, if i wake up its bunk, if i dont, then my insulin is good..lol
