Chicken and ribs B-B-Q

We are starting a chicken and ribs B-B-Q outside of my gym on weekends in a few weeks. Can anyone direct me to a food wholesale place or food supply service to buy this stuff?

Maybe you could buy it direct from the Packing plant? Im not sure if you could buy Just the ribs or Not. I know a guy I work with here that Sokes and sells a ton of em...Spare ribs. Ill ask him If he knows anything to help.

sysco is probably your best bet, they are the biggest food service company. I think the minimum order used to be 300. They supply a lot of places, outback, etc.

us foods sysco and local companies, talk to them all and get the best price. some will have better lines and prices so you may use all or just one of them.

In Maryland I use Costco for all my meats. High quality Meats for a very reasonable price.IMO

Road Kill is cheaper. I'd goto the local high school and talk to the person running the kitchen. It'll be sysco or Gordon foods but they get better prices than their stores at the school. Another option is going to the local market chain and ask if you can buy bulk for a better price. Those work here but I don't know about your state. It helps if your town is small, too. Are we invited?

Since you live on the East Coast Phil you are in good shape as both Sysco and US Foods both have warehouses that deliver in your area. If worst comes to worse you can always use either a Sams Club, Cosco, ect

Sounds like you are starting something smaller, for the guys and are locals to swing by and pick up stuff Phil.

I would start with this (wholesale club) imo. If it gets to be huge you could upgrade to food service deliveries.

I used to work in the Costco Meat Dept. and you can buy cases of about 50-100lbs. of diff cuts for a discount...Compare them to what you find or supplement them for a case or so for what you can't find for a similar price....Costco should hook ya up though....Tell them Tyrone sent ya
