Ok i have a question i wanted to ask for a long time. im not posting this make fun of anyone or race.

so here is my question.

how do chianese people keep themselves so thin.

when i get chianese food at the chianese shop, i never ever see a obese, or even near obese person of chianese decent. i am fascinated by this.

i heard somewhere that is because when they eat they drink tea. is this true?

common sense would tell you that they have a naturally high metabolism (genetics) with poor nutrient partitioning, and they suffer from severe poverty.
there are alot of saudis of somalian origin... have you ever seen a fat somalian? the rich ones are fat... poor ones are thin...

yes i was serious, and thanks for answering. didnt know about natuarlly high motabolism but that makes good sense. you crushed the tea one i heard....

I feel it would also have to do with the fact that many asians don't over induldge in eating as our culture is so inclined to do. Secondly, speaking from someone who has been in a living situation with asians, they don't tend to eat the deep fried shit like general tso's etc that we do either...well atleast in what I have witnessed, not saying they don't.

being thin without rigurous exercise, and living long is genetic... there are certain families in my countries that live to be 100+ years old... and those idiot families still think the secret is in eating cow fat and tbsp of honey everyday. If a normal person does that, he'd get diabetes and clogged arteries by the age of 5.

Fact of the matter is, if you go to these "exotic countries" you'd find them saying "wow, look at the west. they're all big and strong and healthy because they have hormones in their food, and they have great chemicals and medicine"

i cant eat anythink from chianese fried. i feel like shit afterwords. usually the chicken and broccoli w/ garlic sauce

1/2 gallon generic vanilla ice cream = $3.00

Total = $4.90

1 lb chicken breasts = $4
1 lb mixed veggies = $3
sauces and shit = $8

Total = $15


the brownies and ice cream will give you enough calories to sustain life for about a month.

i dont know about living long, im just giving a good comment on the think look and wondering why. genetics is the answer.

1 in 3 americans are considered obese. i have learned alot about proccessed foods and the hormones they put in the crap. makes me sick
 
90% of the food we eat here in saudi is processed and basically crap...
but people think it's "natural" unprocessed food, because it's what we've been eating for the past 50 years or so...
and they started blaming obesity on american fast food restaurants, when they don't want to take a second to think about it.
in saudi, the old timers used to work around 12 hours of manual labor outdoor (temperatures here reach 50 c in summer time) I would say they burned billions of cals per day! LOL!... their diet consisted of simple carbs (white rice, honey, dates, white bread) fats (butter, cow fat) and dairy (full fat milk, and full fat buttermilk)... they were poor, but ate calorie dense meals...
these days, they eat even less calories (really... fast food and crap has less cals than what my grandfathers used to eat) and people get fat and "unhealthy" because we don't move at all... you can't live if you don't have a car in this country, because even if you want to go to the store which is a two minute walk from your front door, this is what you do:
-go turn the car on and blast the A/C at full
- go back home and watch some tv while the car cools down
- 10 minutes later, drive to the store... stop in front of the door and keep the car running and leave it unattended
-grab a can of pepsi really quick and throw a riyal (around 25 cents... bit more) at the cashier and run back to the car and drive home

or option B

find your car stolen becasue you're a fucking retard leaving the keys inside while you go out of the car thinking no one would fucking steal it, and then cry "why is god doing this to me, people are untrustworthy" instead of saying "i'm a fucking retard, i should not waste oxygen and just kill myself"

I'm asian so I know the answer to this one. In the asian countries, people are taught at a young age to not indulge in food in general unless your family is wealthy. Also, food in a lot of these countries do tend to be expensive(compared to the US) because a lot of the food is shipped from other countries. Genetics do play a part as well because most asians do tend to have faster metabolisms and are ecto as am myself. Chinese food here in the US tends to be greasy because the owners of these restaurants are trying to cater to westerners(who for the most part are brought up to eat greasy food). If you've ever been to the asian countries and have had authentic asian food, for the most part, it's not greasy to speak of. Hope this helps answer your question.
 
believe it or not i read an article where eastern countries are thinner than western because they eat most of their meals with warm beverages or tea..i guess some relation to temp and proper absorption? think about when is the last time you had a meal with a warm/hot drink?
 
As a Chef and married to an Asian *filipino beauty*. Asians tend to eat in smaller portions and also green tea thats why we dont see alot of fat asians.
They do eat deep fried stuff but they eat in moderation not like all the time like the fat lazy australians - couch potato !

They eat alot of rice and vegetables aswell ! My wife eats like a horse and still very slim and beautiful. I guess its genetic thing and there metabolism.

That shit just cracked me up.. Great analogy of realising some times it is our own fault certain shit happens to us. Ive dont this a few times and then I have to calm down and think. Then I know it was my fault. Off topic but what do Saudis think of White americans??? Not being weird but do they think of us as satin??? I know im generalising all saudis but what do you see as the consensus.????

I'm married to a half asian (Filipino), half american. She got most of her genitcs from her dad, when it comes to her weight. She eats pretty clean, does cardio every morning and evening , weight trains and still has problems keeping her weight down.

Her mom, on the other hand, Full Filipino, eats crap all day everyday. Mostly sweets. And she's stays small.
It really pisses me off, because she tries to tell my wife how to eat. (She really thinks she's thin because she eats small portions, but it's all crap food)
She doesn't think it's her genitics.:rolleyes: She thinks it's her "hard work" :rolleyes:

I think your wife probably still eats more calories total. Metabolisms, daily calorie expenditures, don't vary that greatly. It's not like one person burns an extra 2000 calories a day due to "fast metabolism" compared to someone else with the same approximate stats. Would be interesting if both your wife and her mom wrote down every last morsel of food they ate every day for a week and then compared the intakes. Self reporting of calorie intakes is notoriously unreliable of course so it may still not be accurate.:p
 
small bones, bad nutrition, bad bodies, bad genes

Asians are just really small people but they are soft. they eat little amounts of protein and large amounts of carbs. I have seen alot of fat asians. Every asian has a large percentage of bodyfat. Alot look like they may be fit, but up close even the small sexy looking asian girls are soft and not that great. They are just small so they look alright. I lived in asia for 6 years and they are nothing special and there is nothing mystical about them. They don't know any magic. Most asian men have pot bellies. The only asians with low bodyfat are that way because of drug abuse, disease, poverty or combination of.

Nope your wrong. I'm not guessing. I know enough about training/ nutrition to make an informed decision on two people I know personally.

And my training partner takes in at least 1500 calories more than I do, and he stays at 8% BF at 225lbs. year round. And I'm about 225lbs at about 13%. (Same height) So "fast metabolism" counts for alot of extra calories.
But this is what I know first hand, there are no "Probably" statements. ;)

BTW her mom does practically no physical activity.
