CK (CREATINE KINASE) Levels high on bloodwork

So my Dr. wants me to stop working out for 4 days and come back for a retest. He knows I work out, I told him how heavy I lift, etc. I mean...is CK something that decreases immediately if you stop working out? If my CK goes down then he said he'd associate it with my working out...but...what "exactly" does CK mean....an elevated amount is a sign of muscle damage, etc.? I've had a massive Black Widow heart attack years ago so I'm sure he's just being extra cautious but what can CK do if left untreated?

Everybody who trains will have elevated CK levels. What was the value?

When getting bloods done, I make Wednesday the last training days before blood the following Monday. I’ve found this to be ideal time to get stuff like EGFR into a normal range.

I made the mistake years ago to get tested 2 days after legs and the dr told me I was in renal failure! Retested after 5 days of training and he said “oh sorry, your kidneys Are fine after all”

My doctor was concerned years ago. I then told him, or I guess reminded him, of certain blood levels being elevated from my workouts.
He never brought it up again. At my last blood test a few weeks ago related to my other thread I took the time to look at my past blood draws dating back to 2015 as my medical portal has a nice chart dating back that far. The ones that are over are literally barely over and have remained unchanged since 2015. He's not worried nor are the multitude of doc's I've talked to in the past few weeks.
If you want to be sure and safe take a few days to a week off and retest.
