just because you don't max out the weight class.....

So PM I was originally thinking of competing in physique, but after talking to a few guys and a trainer they're recommending Classic physique. I'm 5'9 191 and 12% View attachment 91009

that's my class I believe, I am 5'10 trying to get to 192, is that the same class? from what I can see you have a good foundation, nice shape, but we need to see more pics...

Exactly, one example is Shelby, I remember him taking I think 4th or 5th as a lt. heavyweight in a state level show... He came back a couple of months later shredded as hell!!!:eek::eek: weighed in as a welter I think and beat a lot of the same guys who beat him as a lt. heavyweight and took the overall title... I use that as an example a lot... As long as you bring in your best package, that's why the overall winner can come from any weight class...

Not gonna lie this pic literally is the worst pose you could have done to tell us if you should compete physique or classic. Doesn't tell us anything about your build although from what I can see you don't look like you're built slender enough for physique

You have about 20lbs - 25lbs to lose to be in contest shape

I would just diet down an see what you look like closer to the show, can't you do both anyway if it's at the same show?
