Anyone else go into slight inslin shock after a strong cup of coffee in the morning? I do I know coffee can raise slin levels but somedays its really strong like a 10iu dose!

it shoots your blood sugar up very briefly, and then there is a fearsome rebound. if i drink coffee early in the morning, i get stupid carb cravings throughout the day.

Never had that problem personally. I have a 20 OZ every morning.

there was some study done recently where they took people and gave them a cup of coffie w no sugar and no food first thing in the morning. the got a rise in blood sugar followed by a big drop in blood sugar. not sure why and i dont remember if they figured out why or not but the study is out there. coffie followed by food about an hr later solved the sugar crash.
maybe the caffine has something to do with it?
i have no idea.

yea if it is a strong dose it will make your liver dump all its glycogen and raise slin levels.
