Since the possiblity of becoming insulin resistant while on high dose GH (8-10iu per day) is high, it would make sense to use humalog to counter this. The general consensus is to take approx 5iu with the post workout meal 2-3x a week. This makes sense of course. What doesn't quite make sense to me, is why one would only use insulin 2-3x a week post workout. If you're insulin resistant due to high dose GH, wouldn't you need more frequent insulin administration to combat this? Using insulin for only 2-3 meals per week seems to not be optimum, as the reast of the meals would be wasted, so to speak. 2-3iu humalog 2-3x a day makes more sense to me, as you'd be fully utilizing the insulin supplemented meals. Perhaps raising the dosage very slowly as time goes by to make up for the desensetization. Any thoughs?
