Cutting Collagen and DC Training

Hello Pro Muscle,

I have been lurking around for quite some time. I understand many members who use DC Training, so I thought this question would be appropriate.

I am currently using 40mg Winstrol ED, and 100mg Test P. EOD. I am dieting hard, with 2 hours of cardio and enjoying the results but noticing some warning signs. This is my first time using winny and it may just be some joint pain and nothing to worry about.

I have not been trained by Dante, or Doug so I am obviously going on what I have learned. I know some people continue to try to beat their log book even up to the day of their competition, and others just raise their rest-pause # to beat, or switch to another training style. I am curious as to what most of the members do here.

It is my understanding that winstrol increases collagen but causes a weaker cross linkage. Which is my concern as I enjoy lifting very heavy.

You should'nt run winstrol for more than 6-8 weeks. That should have been on the back end of your diet.

4 on, 4 off, 4on was the plan, but I definitely see the importance of running it closer to the end now. Perhaps I'll use masteron towards the end instead of winstrol again.

I've always done my own diets and training, and I guess it shows. Luckily I'm still very young and eager to learn.

Trenabolan acetate is good, also. I was always worried when I did shows, that is why I had someone help me. I didn't want to think, just react.

POST SOME PICTURES.

I have not done many cycles, otherwise I would have chosen to use tren for sure. Just trying to use the, less is more principle I guess. I just want to hold onto my gains as I diet down.

As for pictures pesty, it's not easy to just throw my physique online, especially a board like this. However, I'm sure I may actually get some good advice from it. So it is definitely something in consideration right now.

I usually go a lot by what the mirror says, but pictures is a great way to analyze. I keep things very simple, and don't over think anything really. I'm hoping pictures I'm taking soon will help me determine what needs to be brought up over this off season. I know my lower lats, long head tricep, and hamstrings need work. I guess this is why I should post pictures huh? haha

Jon, A couple of opinions are really good for you, looking in that mirror too often, and it might start playing tricks on you. The reason I suggest the pictures now is, you have plenty of time to have some pros on here help you and make suggestions that could make you look even better for that show. I am not a pro, I always had outside professional help, it made a major difference in my conditioning. I won my first show because of this. I never had a forum as good as this, to critique me, or I would have gone even further. Use the resources. I wish you the best of luck, stay focused and train hard.:)

This is a pretty recent post by Dante about a rough outline of how things are done with DC training leading up to a contest

"But i want to clarify some things

I like people to raise their rest pause range up a few reps 13-18 instead of 11-15 during prep for safety reasons

I would like someone to reset the logbook first if they are getting bombed out on exercises anywhere in the prep (besides the last 2-3 weeks)=drop the plateaued exercises and start new ones or reset your rep ranges on an exercise your bombed out on

I like people to rest pause as long as they can and im hoping thats till the 2-3 week out mark--and then straight set and add an exercise to that bodypart going into the show. But hell if you have the gusto to take the offseason training all the way in to a show---more power to you---just please please please dont do anything chancey that could injure yourself

and if all else fails--do whatever you have to do to maintain muscle mass going into that show---thats the bottom line---if you just dont have it in you today to do your regular training---do the best you can anyway you can so you keep maintaining your muscle mass

Thats the big key to the equation---keep what you have built from the offseason but dont get lost in the thought (late in the prep) that you are actually trying to gain muscle mass and do something risky and suffer a career ending tear (something Dorian didnt heed to until he retired and realized the mistakes he made)"

I've posted on other boards, but it seems there is a lot of juvenile behavior which I have no time for. I hope to make this my new home and appreciate your advice, a long with all the other mass of information floating around here.

It seems the internet, especially bodybuilding boards is recycled information. People know what it is, but they do not know why, or where it came from. It seems there are some true sources here which I hope to learn from.

I hurt my rotatory cuff today, and have to step back and look at the situation. However, I'll keep in mind the option of posting pictures here for solid advice.

And thanks to you Scott for that post!
