Dnp methyl ether for fatty liver, what about regular dnp?

Dnp methyl ether seems to be safer and only affect the liver but would regular dnp work but just be too uncomfortable for most fatty liver patients? I have family struggling with this condition so looking into everything I can. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Fatty liver is from a bad diet/lifestyle

Adding dnp on top of the bad diet/lifestyle is asking for trouble.

Thanks for the insight into an unhealthy lifestyle on a steroid forum. I'm wondering if anyone has seen any of the research on this subject and maybe knows the human equivalent doses from the studies. Just info. No advice from drug users who want to make their lifestyle sound healthy to themselves in comparison to someone with a medical condition. Can we get back into sharing information instead of preaching How healthy we are?

You’re not wrong but you’re the one looking for advice, you came here, so maybe don’t be a dick and insult the people you’re asking for help from?

I came here for advice from some of the few guys on here who still trade in information. The information seek is to possibly help someone who cannot workout etc. they are old. I love this forum. I don't like what it is turning into with the sanctimonious preaching at everyone who asks a question. I have only 50 posts in 5 years because I only post if I feel I can contribute to the knowledge, not just to throw my two cents in when something is already answered. If I don't know, I shut my mouth. There some guys on here that I thought might know about this. I would greatly appreciate their input.

At low doses(100-200mg daily) the side effects for a lot of people really aren't that bad. It still has significant effect on fat loss on those doses and like slice said it does help with fatty liver

I have not studied this form of DNP. But at the end of the day, if you lose body fat, your liver loses fat and will become healthier.

Obviously diet is important, but I can see the medical potential of DNP. I could only encourage you in that direction.

OP you state the person can't workout etc? What does etc mean? What else is there? Are they disabled? Can they walk? Walking is exercise. What are the stats of this person? Are they 150 pounds or 350 pounds? Anyone even if they are old can improve their diet especially if they have this condition. DNP could help but this person can't be using dnp the rest of their life. If they don't fix the things that lead to fatty liver in the first place taking drugs won't be enough. Sometimes you have to work at something to make it better and not just take a pill. DNP should help but put it this way I wouldn't have felt right giving it to my nan/grandad when they were alive.

Hey Elvia, late sixties female, probably 5' 6" 170-180 recent total knee replacement. Never drank was not ridiculously unhealthy, normal active wife, mom etc. probably part genetic predisposition part diet for the cause. It's getting bad now due to age and inactivity. She was walking daily before surgery. Recovery is slow with these operations in older people. I worry if she doesn't reverse this soon she may need a transplant and it's a long shot to get one. The studies that I saw on methyl ether end were amazing. I figured regular dnp would work also just affect the rest of the body as well as the liver. So far it seems like 100 mg per day would be a tolerable dose? I've never used dnp. I kind of wish I had now so I would know a bit more, real world. Thank you for the reply.

I do have serious reservations about giving dnp to my relative. I'm just looking for information right now in case it seems to be coming to a more serious life or death situation, I guess. Doing what we do on here a lot of times we have access to information that other people just don't know about yet that may be helpful in some ways other than what we use it for. Thanks for the dosage info Heavyhitter.

Why don't you try it yourself for a few weeks and decide if you feel comfortable giving it to her. It's not my place to say what to do. I know it will likely help and 100mg is a tolerable dose for most people. DNP at low dose was great for me then some time in I developed bad allergic reactions the last 2 times. One time my eyelid enlarged and it was really bad and I had to go the doctors to get an injection for it. The other time just really bad rashes all over my body. I know many who have had similar but most are fine unless they overdose it. Again it's not something I would be giving my mum or dad to use and they are the same age but are very mobile. Well my dad tries but he can barely walk either

I state the above but this is very true. But OP please note I only used 200mg. I know loads who take it and 200mg is fine for most people. It's only when they start going to 400mg+ they may start having problems. I must be sensitive to it but know others. I think I would be fine with 100mg. I just want to relay this info as if you do it I would rather you be informed. I would be recommending starting at 50mg and going from there. The guy I work for only does 200mg so that is out of the question. So I would be looking for 50mg tabs/caps.

Thanks. I just happen to have some 50 mg pellets. I think I will give it a try at 100 mg a day and see how I feel. I'll start a few days before thanksgiving break in case I get lethargic.

With that dose you should not worry about lethargy.

DNP is a safer drug than most medications prescribed by a doctor. You should only use it wisely .;)

I totally agree with this. I would never recommend someone use something that I don't have any personal experience with

I swear some of you vets have lost your mind.
