Ive seen it get better as guys get leaner,,,but I have also seen guys with severe cases,,get more pronounced and noticeable when they leaned out.

If it's mostly gland it'll be more noticeable because the gland will remain even as you lose bodyfat.

If it's a mix of fat and glad or "psuedo" gynecomastia (which is predominately fat) it should improve and look better as you get leaner. The issue is you cannot control where you lose body fat from while dieting.
