I have read that eating greens first will slow down the digestion of protein due to where they are broke down in the digestive process.

So I have found that if I eat my carbs about 5-10 min before I eat my meat i don't get any carb cravings after the meal , but if I eat my meat first then my carbs I seem to want to keep eating the carbs and not feel satisfied.

Does eating your meal at slightly differant times matter at all as far as the way the body absorbes the proteins and carbs?? , I eat my fats from the meat or with the meat if its a very lean meat like boiled chicken

Keep it simple

Eat all your macros together, and in one sitting.

Ness, i did notice when i followed DC's outline for eating 2 things happened.
1. eating the protien first, as long as it was a lean and clean source of protien, allowed me to eat more of it before getting full. Meaning instead of eating 10 OZ of chicken if i ate everything at once, one fork of this, one fork of that, i increased my portion size by about 20-25%.
2. i leaned out a bit. Granted i seperate carbs and fats into different meals and keep carbs early in the morning and around workout times , but i think the kicker is that im just not able to get down the amount of carbs as i could otherwize because im filling up on the meat.

Im not sure of the effect this has on digestion its more of a simple cause and effect relationship in my mind. what are your thoughts on this?

Well I have eaten 10lbs of food in a sitting more than once. I've tried to separate the plate into carbs, proteins, and fats as a strategy to get more food in...but it never mattered in the end. In my thinking, I WANT my body to be absorbing all three macros at the same time so that I benefit from it all at a single time. Thats just me...I think this is getting too complicated...its not going to matter in the long run...just eat and eat just enough to keep growing and stay lean or leaner.

10 pounds
Huh !
The stomach is about 12 inches (30.5 cm) long and is 6 inches. (15.2 cm) wide at its widest point. The stomach's capacity is about 1 qt (0.94 liters) in an adult.

proteins first, vegetables second, carbs last. (but thats just me)

now I remember seeing a documentary a while ago on colleges and universities and their cafeterias. And I think it was Notre Dame that had the best order of nutritional line service (for their football team) of them all. When you walked in they had fresh fruit and veggies first, followed by complex carbs and such, and then at the end of the line you came across the meats and deserts. Again, this was a few years back.

Massive G has posted on some science behind eating protein first and then which macros to follow it up with. and why

For Dante's purposes #2 hit the nail on the head, if you fill up on protein(50-80 grams most likely) and some green vegetables first you won't need or want to overdo carbs or fats.

Thats obviously bullshit.
