Since I was sick last April I have been bringing my dogs to work to help with relaxation and blood pressure issues. The have a fleece carrier in the back of my car with harnesses etc. I did not hook the harnesses to the seat belt yesterday. While this is careless that is not the point of this story.
I packed a bag for work, that had supplies including a one pound package of sliced lean, low sodium roast beef to snack on during the day. I put this bag in the back seat for some reason instead of the front.
When I arrived at the office and opened the back door to let my dogs out, Bonnie was in her seat but Clyde had a big slice of Bloody Rare Roast Beef hangin out of his mouth. Now you must picture that these dogs are Chihauhua's, one long hair and one short hair, and about six pounds each.
They had opened the plastic grocery bag, opened the resealable plastic bag for the roast beef, and had eaten all but a couple of slices. No noise, no fighting, no teeth marks on either bag. I was eighteen inches in front of them the whole time totally clueless.
It is the happiest I have seen them in the mornings a long while as the usually do not want to wake up as early as I do.
While it did hinder my protein intake for the day, It certainly lowered my blood pressure!
